RE: Today’s idea

in VisualBlock2 years ago (edited)

I'm a bit of a chocolate fiend, so I have problems knowing when to stop with dark chocolate brownies and Timtams, especially the dark chocolate ones as they aren't as sweet, so I don't get the sick feeling I normally would. However, I'll pick this today, that my daughter got me for Mothers Day along with some dark mint Timtams...🤤

The reason for choosing these is that there is a bit more of a story behind my love of Lindt. I don't have it often because of the price, so it really is a treat. It's imported into Australia, which probably explains the price.

When we arrived in Australia I discovered that most of the chocolate made here was not to my taste at all. I like Cadbury in the UK, but here it tastes as if it has antifreeze in it (apparently there is an ingredient like that so that it survives the heat on the shelves here). After trying various types of chocolate I gave up on it and went without, except for the occasional treat of Lindt chocolate. These boxed chocolates, particularly, are something I could never normally justify buying for myself, so I only get them on special occasions when I'm treated to them by others. Those who know me know I like Lindt, but those who really know me know to avoid Lindor, because they are far too sickly sweet for me. My mum still gets me Lindor and I usually pass them on to someone else...I haven't the heart to keep telling her that I don't like them.

Hopefully I haven't bored you too much, but you asked. 😆😜

Hahahaha, what a nice comment @minismallholding! Chocolate can really be addictive, that's why I totally understand you. The best cocoa in the world is produced in my country, its genetics are exceptional and its flavor is extraordinary, and fortunately there have always been good chocolates (although there could be many more).

With your comment you reminded me of mom, who is 100% addicted to chocolate, and there couldn't be any chocolate in the house because she ate it all at once.

I do not know these chocolates that you share, perhaps they do arrive in Venezuela, but where I live (I live in the interior of the country), I have not seen them on the shelves, but they look great, and they seem to be very varied, both in flavor as in texture; so it must be exquisites.

I hope they give you many more boxes of these chocolates and that you continue to sweeten your days with them.

Thank you very much for your support and for participating in this initiative. Happy mothers day!

Now you're just teasing me! 🤤

My daughter has started to regulate me with Timtams, because if she leaves them in sight the entire packet will be gone. And if I'm really full and don't finish an entire chocolate block, she'll ask if I'm okay. 😅

Hahahahaha, no, I just wanted to pique your curiosity, hahahaha, and brag a bit too. Whenever you want, I send you several Venezuelan chocolates to Australia, some delivery house must take them there. And don't eat all the Timtams at once, save a few for tomorrow.
