¿Quién soy? / Who I am? (Esp-Eng)

Hola, comunidad Hive. Soy Sahilí Cristiá Lara

Soy escritora, socióloga y demógrafa. Nací un martes de 1989, en Camagüey (Cuba), bajo el signo de Virgo. Soy una amante confesa del café, los atardeceres y el olor a las azucenas.

En mis tiempos libres, me gusta relajarme, aprender nuevas habilidades, descubrir la historia a través de edificaciones plasmadas en fotografías, hacer dulces tradicionales -heredados de mi abuela y mi mamá-, dedicarme a cuidar de mis plantas, participar en voluntariados con ONGs, viajar, sumergirme en algún libro y escribir.

Para mí, la escritura es un refugio, un territorio íntimo desde el cual explorar y desentrañar el mundo. Escribo poesía de versos libres y microrelatos que navegan por lo social, lo íntimo, lo erótico y lo psicológico. Mi obra es, en esencia, un reflejo de las múltiples mujeres que me habitan. Profundizo en la psicología femenina, donde el erotismo se convierte en un arma de defensa frente a la soledad y donde el romanticismo, con sus amores y desamores, se entrelaza con la experiencia de la "soledad en compañía". A través de mis versos, intento plasmar la vida de las mujeres, con la certeza de que, en esas líneas, podrás encontrar algo con lo que conectar y volver a soñar.

Como escribo en mi poema "Diferencias":

"Escribo porque es una vía / para separarme de lo que puede / ser vano y corroe..."

Who I am?

Hello, Hive community. I'm Sahilí Cristiá Lara.

I'm a writer, sociologist, and demographer. I was born on a Tuesday in 1989 in Camagüey, Cuba, under the sign of Virgo. I'm a self-confessed lover of coffee, sunsets, and the scent of lilies.

In my free time, I like to relax, learn new skills, discover history through photographs of buildings, make traditional sweets—inherited from my grandmother and mother—tend to my plants, volunteer with NGOs, travel, immerse myself in a book, and write.

For me, writing is a refuge, an intimate space from which to explore and unravel the world. I write free-verse poetry and micro-stories that explore the social, the intimate, the erotic, and the psychological. My work is, in essence, a reflection of the many women who live within me. I delve into female psychology, where eroticism becomes a weapon of defense against loneliness, and where romanticism, with its loves and heartbreaks, intertwines with the experience of "solitude in company." Through my verses, I try to capture the lives of women, with the certainty that, in these lines, you will find something to connect with and dream again.

As I write in my poem "Differences":

"I write because it is a way / to separate myself from what can / be vain and corrode..."
