Here are the meetup details and twitter announcement.

I'm not the organizer, just a meetup member. Thanks Ben DiFrancesco and Ryan Findley for organizing (P.S. if you'd like me to make you or the meetup a Hive account, happy to do so).

Super excited! Really an awesome opportunity to hear about the fork from the perspective of a leading community witness and major Steem/Hive stakeholder and developer.

Meetup details below:

As organizers of this community, Ryan and Ben hope everyone out there is staying safe, staying health, and staying home. In the midst of these unprecedented global lockdowns, Philly Blockchain Tech hopes to give you some measure of connection to the Philly community.

In that light, we're excited to announced our first ever online-only event: "The Hostile Takeover of the Steem Blockchain," a virtual fireside chat with Matt Rosen.

If you've been to our events, you probably know Matt. He's a prolific blockchain entrepreneur and a force in the Steem community. That community recently went through a dramatic split that may set important precedents with regards to decentralized governance of blockchain networks. Unsurprisingly, Matt was at the center of what transpired.

In this digital meetup, Matt will chat with organizers Ben and Ryan about the split, who will also be sourcing questions from the community. We're extremely excited to have Matt tell this story firsthand. It should be fascinating!

As always, this edition of Philly Blockchain Tech is free and open to the community thanks to our amazing sponsors.

Our first sponsor is Splinterlands — The next generation of trading card games! This is one of the leading blockchain games in the world, and it's built by folks right here in Philly! If you're at all into these sorts of games, definitely check it out. https://splinterlands.io/

Our other amazing sponsor this month is Harbinger Systems. Harbinger Systems is a global company providing software technology services for independent software vendors and enterprises, with a specialization in product engineering. If your company needs product engineering expertise, visit https://harbinger-systems.com

Please help spread the word about this meetup! While Philly Blockchain Tech aims to focus on the technical and entrepreneurial aspects of blockchain, all background and experience levels are welcome.
