Let me tell you a secret that a lot of people are yet to explore because they are seeing it the wrong way, do you know that one of the greatest to happiness and a feeling of fulfillment is giving, a lot of people feel that they gain more when they are on the receiving end always but that isn't the real fact, from my experience, giving gives me more joy than receiving, the reason I don't wait until a special occasion to give to someone or wait till I have more than enough.

You see, this is where people get it wrong again, you don't have to be rich before you can be a giver, it's the heart that matters when you give, and more importantly, anyone can be a giver, it can be through rendering of services, talent or actual physical gifting, as long as there is a receiving end.

I know this post is supposed to be about a special someone I will be gifting this year, but when It comes to gifting for me, everyone is special, and one aspect of my life that comes naturally and often to give is through my sewing talent, as the new year unfolds, I already have family and friends on my neck expecting a gifted dress from me, because I have made this a way of life, I feel even happier to be in this position, being able to render this service and give something of value to someone and also knowing they cherish it.

Yes, I have special people I will be gifting this year, my friends, loved ones, family, neighbours and even strangers fall into this category, currently, I'm making a special beautiful outfit for my mum, which I shared in the needlework community recently, it's not her birthday or other special occasion, it's just the joy of being able to fulfill her clothing need, I once heard her sometimes last year talk about liking an ankara skirt and might need one, though I wasn't free due to my tight work schedule then, I already had the thought of making her one glued to my mind,

so when I saw this beautiful ankara print, I wasted no time buying it, Hive helps a lot in times like this, and to top it all I included a blouse, though I'm yet to finish making the third piece of clothing that this outfit, I'm already excited and can't wait to get it completed and especially, see that lok abd smile of happiness on my mum's face when she receives her gift, and that is the joy and satisfaction giving brings.

If you are not a giver, I hope this post inspires you to be one, remember, everyone has something to give, and you don't need to be a rich person before you qualify as a giver, a trial will convince you, there is more blessing to giving than receiving.
