An Update on My Financial Journey and Year-End Report

It's that time of the year to reflect on how my savings journey has been through the Saturday Savers Club in Hive, some lessons learned, and my experiences and goals achieved!

It's been a consistent savings and staking activity in the past four months, and I must say that a lot has changed for me, from becoming a non-saver to an intentional saver and spender. _{Yea, I now calculate well before spending inorder to save more unlike my old me}. Joining the Saturday Savers Club (SSC) is the best thing that has happened to my financial journey so far, and I will tell you why. Do you know that since I joined Hive two years ago, I have never saved 1 HBD until this year, in September, when I found SSC through @deraaa? My only goal at the beginning of the year was all about my HP growth and staying consistent in hive, but this savings initiative not only pushed me to discover the importance of savings but also made me stake more in HP and Leo tokens, together with saving chunks of HBD every Saturday. There is no way you would move along with fellow savers without getting influenced positively by those intentional folks in Saturday savers unless you don't go through their weekly reports. This has been a lot of push for me, and today, the narrative has changed. I save more and spend wisely.

I am thankful for how far I have come. This is my last report for the year, taking a closer look at my performance so far, evaluating how I have been doing with my financial activities, and determining the way forward from this juncture.

Sometimes, I feel that if I had known Saturday savers earlier enough, I would have grown better, but the good thing is that I have a great opportunity to flow along with the initiative afresh from January 2024.

One important tactic I learned from @starstrings01 is to write down my goals in a diary rather than stating them in my mind. This action helps me to always glance through my goals and reminds me to put more effort into achieving them, so that staying consistent with them becomes easier. Also, writing reports of my progress helps me to clearly observe my account growth at a glance and stay on track. So far, I have been diligently doing all of these activities, and the result is evident.

I started this journey with little goals. At first, I said that joining in September of this year didn't make much sense; perhaps I should wait until January 2024, but I'm glad I didn't wait. This made me set a smaller goal in a way that it would be achievable considering how I earn in Hive. . So my three basic goals were reaching 5k HP, achieving 80 HBD by year end, and staking 1k Leo power.

I began working on these goals with everything in me. The more I read other savers reports and see how they are smashing their goals, the more motivated I am to keep going. To my greatest surprise, I reached my 5k HP goal in under one month. I stretched myself further and set a new goal of achieving 6K HP by December 31st this year. I was still working on achieving my 80 HBD and 1k Leo power, but things kept working in my favour, and I even surpassed the whole goal. Instead of my weekly 5 HBD in savings, I was throwing a larger amount and staking more of my Leo tokens as I earned them and powering up more.

Wow, I feel so fulfilled after smashing my goals., I am grateful for this accomplishment. However, the new year is here, and it should be a year to go even higher, stronger, and better for me.
