Ponzi schemes almost caused me a heart attack.

I welcome you to my blog. The ultimate aim of almost everyone on the face of the earth is to make money. On the quest to make our dreams come true, we engaged in a lot of activities; some worked out perfectly well, while others left us with nothing, and some of the activities we engaged in even took from the little we had. Back then, it was from one heartbreak to another. I was made to understand that the only way to attain financial stability is by having multiple streams of income. For this, I made sure I engaged in a lot of side hustles.

In most cases, we use money from our main jobs to invest in and engage in these side hustles, so the side hustles not working out definitely leave us broke, without any money, as well as heartbroken. I experienced a series of heartbreaks growing up, thanks to the idea of wanting to make money at a young age. Though I was heartbroken countless times, I am glad I made those moves because they taught me a lot and opened my eyes.

Some of these side hustles I engaged in almost caused me a heart attack. Only a few of them worked out; some just gave me back the capital invested, while others took everything, including the capital. While growing up, I was made to understand that there is money online; you just need the right tutorship and updates to harness it, so I ventured into a lot of Ponzi schemes while I was working with a sachet water-producing company. Some I registered with 2,000 naira ($1.76), then some with even 5,000 naira ($4.34), and some cost lower.

Then almost all my salary, which was about 15,000 naira ($13.03), was used to make investments. I made this investment without getting any return on my investment. All these platforms crashed before my eyes; some gave us the leverage to take back the money invested, while others crashed with everything in them. Ponzi schemes is one side hustle I engaged in that never worked out for me. Since then, I have given up on ever chasing money online because of what Ponzi schemes did to me until I found hive or should I say hive found me.

While I was still working, my mom advised me to give up on investing in those online platforms and maybe try something offline. I reluctantly agreed. We owned a small poultry farm once; we sold all the birds and did not restock, so I used my money to buy some broilers back then. My mom and I joined hands to take care of the birds. I look after them mainly on weekends because of work, but mom does almost all the work.

That was in 2020; in December, we sold off, and I got more than what I invested. I wanted to try it again in 2021, but many of the birds died of illness, but at least my first try worked, and it was the first side hustle that ever worked out well for me.
