It's always the drivers

Being someone that loves traveling a lot I have tried various transport companies, somewhere good, while somewhere bad. I will say that for some various transport companies, what makes most of them bad is the drivers, yes the drivers.

I remember my encounter with peace mass when I was traveling to Enugu state, it wasn't a funny experience. In fact, it's made me avoid anything that will ever make me try their transport company ever again.

I went to the park that fateful day to get a bus heading to my destination, first, the ticket attendant was rude but I overlooked her, bought my ticket, and waited for the bus to be filled before we started the journey, finally, we started the journey around 1 pm, it's was just a journey of 3 hours.

Our driver was at top speed and we were bouncing inside the vehicle, and all efforts to get him to reduce his speed proved abortive. I was literally praying that I get to my destination in one piece. Somewhere along the line; he parked and went off without telling us anything and in the middle of nowhere, just bush.

When he finally appeared after 30 minutes, he had no explanation, no apology at all; he just entered the bus and snoozed off. Passengers were yelling at him, and he formed deaf ears. Instead, he turned on the music loudly to shut us up. It was as if as he came out of that bush, his driving became worse than before, he was driving anyhow, before we will say Jah, our tire bust and we were on speed, thank God no coming vehicle from the back, that's how he struggled with the steering till, he gets us to safety

That wasn't the only problem; he had no spare tire at all; we were just stuck on the express road with no help coming, and we stayed till 1 hour 30 minutes before help finally came, and the mechanic to fixed it and pumped the tire became a problem. It was grace that carried us that day; I got to Enugu around 10 pm that day, the journey of three hours.

The transport company I love and still will always use their company just that they are very expensive is God is Good Motors, I journeyed with them on my way to Lagos state, and I can tell you it was a smooth and lovely journey. The driver was the most polite driver I have ever met; he was calm and composed.

He wasn't on speed and he wasn't slow equally, he knows when to overtake and when not to, if we as much as shout, maybe for a wrong overtaking that he did, he will just apologize, even when he was at fault cause of his good character, we fought for him and enter the vehicle back laughing, cause we know he was wrong. Some of us bought food for him and even gave him money. That man was good, I will say that transport companies should watch the kind of drivers the employ, most of them gives the company bad names.
