Artificial intelligence and Digital Space

in SciFi Multiverse3 days ago

The world is evolving and so is technology. We have noticed a shift from web 1.0 to web 3.0 with constant improvement in the use of the Internet. While scientists aim to improve living, they introduce a new kind of evil. We are currently in the information age with artificial intelligence (AI) where bots do the things humans do but faster and more advanced. Artificial intelligence may seem harmless for now but in the future it'll do more harm than good.

Those who created artificial intelligence probably had the idea of creating what would do tasks easier and faster but along the line, they realized it can be programmed to do more and so different versions of artificial intelligence were created to handle different kinds of tasks from the text base to those which can do more. Artificial intelligence undoubtedly has been of help in certain areas like making research, medicine, programming, photo editing, and much more but they have also denied many people their jobs, especially when Artificial intelligence can do the job faster with less human resource employed.

The ultimate downside of artificial intelligence may not be seen now but will gradually unfold in the future. Most things we suffer from today were once harmless, the weapons for crime and mass destruction were once said to be for self defense and hunting, the introduction of paper money was once preached as carrying lighter currency around compared to loads of it but then became the essence of corruption and a center for world power. Everything once harmless at a point had a way to slip in evil. But artificial intelligence may be more evil than any of which once existed.

One thing I've learned is that everything comes with a price, which can be good or evil. Artificial intelligence makes things easier, gradually erasing the influence of human intervention and it'll get to a point where artificial intelligence will do everything that humans do. Each model seems to be upgraded to match human behavior until they finally do while a certain group of people will control them. Imagine a world where AI can do all you can do, think like you do. This will make you irrelevant in a world where you can't compete with machines. If I had a chance to do with AI what I desire. I wouldn't throw them away, and I wouldn't upgrade them either, they'll remain at their current level, keeping a balance(where humans are much needed, and machines only stand to assist).

Science and technology has made life so easy

Sure, yet with it downside

sincerely you are very right with all what you said, but I still belief no matter how technology improve, there will still be one thing that Artificial intelligence won't be able to do, is just that I'm yet to find out that. But for now, artificial intelligence is really ruling and taking over alot of things that human can

Sure, there'll be something they can't do and just a few humans can do that making a large number of people handicap

It is only a matter of time before artificial intelligence takes over a lot of things leaving us with little or nothing as humans.

It'd be sad to see machines do what humans do. It'll be a disaster

Your point about AI evolving from helpful tools to potential human replacements is eye-opening.

I've seen a glimpse of it in certain industry

It reminds me of how ATMs and online banking reduced the number of bank tellers we see today. What started as convenience led to restructuring entire workforces.

That's true, and it's a pity why people feel technology is helping mankind absolutely without a downside
