The rise of various types of Machines and Industries, has brought a rise to environmental pollution.
Harmful chemicals is being released in to the seas, rivers and ocean. The Aquatic Animals are affected, the Humans are affected, even the birds of the sky are not excluded.
The rise of plastic, nylon, rubber and many other materials that can't be decomposed are rapidly filling up our environment,
Although there have been several measures that has been applied but still pollution prevails.

Sometimes some large business tycoon will do some illegal things and our government will even overlook them maybe because they are filling their pockets with Goodies, thereby bribing their way out of being prosecuted.

For example in Benue State, more than 18 communities are affected by the Dangote Coal Mines Ltd's operations. The recent investigation by Investigate Nigeria revealed a grim reality, the rivers that sustain these communities are contaminated with deadly chemicals like Arsenic, Mercury, Lead, and Cadmium.
It's A very Sad thing, we no longer care about Human life.

The Human Cost

Imagine having to choose between drinking polluted water or spending scarce resources on clean water.
In some of the villages some people don't even have enough money to afford clean water.
Here a brand of cleaned water are usually packaged in sachets and bottles, but because of the inflation and economic crisis, the prices to purchase such has sky rocket. I remember we do but one sachet water #5 (five Naira) but now the sell one for #30 (Thirty Naira).

This is the harsh reality for many residents, who are forced to buy water from tankers or rely on boreholes that may not be any better. The consequences are massive.
We see all these affected people suffer Water-borne diseases like typhoid and cholera, also residents suffer from skin rashes, kidney damage, and neurological problems.
The pollution has sparked fears of long-term health disasters, including cancer and kidney disease.

The Environmental Impact

The pollution doesn't just affect human health; it also devastates the environment. The contaminated rivers flow through multiple communities, destroying aquatic life and bringing out the risk of ecosystem disruption. The impact on agriculture, fishing, and livestock is likely to be severe, further threatening the livelihoods of residents.

The Government as usual don't care as far as their pockets are filled and they are able to secure the office for 4 more years.

Here are What I think Needs to be Done

It is very important that immediate action is taken to address this crisis. Here are some steps that can be taken:

First of all actions must be taken to Stop the pollution: Dangote Coal Mines Ltd, must take responsibility for the pollution and implement measures to prevent further contamination, they are making money from these industries they should care for the warfare of people in the areas they situated their industries.
The government can Provide clean water to the Communities.
The government and other stakeholders must work together to provide clean water alternatives for the affected communities.
Also Regular health monitoring and medical screenings are crucial to identify and address any long-term health consequences.
Finally Community engagement is Important.
Residents must be engaged in the decision-making process to ensure their concerns are heard and addressed.

These are my response to #smp-w22

You said it all, little is the pollution caused by from individuals compared to those from those companies. It sad that our government are turning a blind eyes to this.

Pure water is one 50 naira here. 😂

50 Naira for 1 ke,
Na lie o, did they want to kill people 😩😩

I go lie for you? Three is 100 naira

But what exactly is this country turning to🤦
One bag of sachet water used to be #100
Imagine buying just 3 for #100

You're right, Dangote must take responsibility and also people don't even care about the danger of living in a polluted environment. We all need to be careful because inhaling polluted environments is not good.

It's dangerous to the health honestly

Industrialization has brought about increase in environmental pollution. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, industrialization bring both good and bad 😞

Yes sir

This problem of pollution is not new but it is a matter of regret that till now its proper solution has not been found and saddest thing is that when money and power come in between then there is no value of human life.

when money and power come in between then there is no value of human life.

Omo that is deep, imagine what the current government is doing with the life of people, hardship everywhere

Wow what a honour,
Thanks for the Recognition @scifimultiverse

I don't think we should blame the government for everything though, it is the citizens polluting the environment not government.

You have presented such an important topic in a very beautiful way. Best wishes to you.

I read your post carefully. To be honest, you have presented the real situation before us very clearly. What you have written about environmental pollution, especially the lack of awareness of industries and the negligence of big business organizations—everything is a matter of concern.

This is the harsh reality for many residents, who are forced to buy water from tankers or rely on boreholes that may not be any better.

On the Island in Lagos, if you want to use clean water to cook or bath, you have to get water from the tanker

And aside community's concerns are heard or addressed, we ourselves must be ready to take responsibilities in ensuring a pollution-free environment.

Because of the things POLLUTION has done, there's need to develop strategies on how to combat this.
