Wonderful post you got here. I think as a society, we underestimate the essence of proper upbringing by parents who are actively grounded in the lives of their children and it's such a bad look because the resultant effects are the examples we have today: Thieves, corrupt adults and individuals promoting various vices.

So I do agree with you. If some of these people were raised in the right conditions, there's a high chance that the trajectory of their lives would've changed. Maybe a good family ritual that serves as a reminder to remain good or having present parents would've helped save their path.
