Hive and Regenerative Cultures

Exploring Hive as an Enabler. An open thought Experiment.

Can thoughts be decentralized? Well this post is. Thank you @cr347ive for this banner, that invites to reflect about this hive hidden jewel.

Right now, as I'm writing this post, faceb00k, instagr4m and Wh4ts4pp are offline, all together, as part of one of the most centralized networks, for hours.

Following my previous post about Hive potential here, and some repercussion, @deepresearch post here and @themarkymark here, over the last few weeks I´ve read very interesting material regarding Hive and decentralization that inspired me to write down a few ideas as an opportunity to thrive culture.

Be Regenerative. Be Hive.

Decentralized economies, finance, for social and planet wellbeing.
It can all be condensed in a ver simple concept: Regenerative Culture. Sustainability is not enough.

Regenerative Cultures

Avoiding doing harm is not a motivation, neither a driver. There will be not enough time to jump from extractive and disposable money based culture to a 0 additional harm. It needs to be regenerative, and decentralized. Take a look and feel free to join and discuss.

Regenerative Cultures are rooted in cooperation.

Take a look at this article from Daniel Christian Wahl (here). Regenerative Cultures are rooted in cooperation but also in a virtue reinforcing cycle with 3 main characteristics to ensure systemic regeneration rather than current 99% vs 1% result of current vicious cycle.

Regenerative Cultures are grounded (rooted) in:

- Free & Cooperative Association (the future is a decentralized economy PDF UNDP) Free association to pursue valid objectives for regenerative initiatives.

- Decentralized Growth (World Economic Forum on decentralization) Observing capitalism way of growth, is to concentrate capital rather than expand it. It is a vicious cycle. Pathogen in terms of Nature. But to effectively and efficiently decentralize growth, a basic initial Planned Economics must be found, for fortune or logic.

- Shared Value (more here) Observing nature as source of inspiration and find out how nature responds (4800 millions years of experience).

This is the central idea that sustains life.

Life produce conditions conductive to Life.

Hive: Regenerative Community

To proof communities and even whole industry value chains as I am currently developing for the disrupting cannabis market, we need to find and reach a minimal viable unit, lets say a system, with its cooperative parts in adequate proportions. Think about fire.

Fire needs 3 conditions: Heat, Fuel, and Oxygen. The three of them in the adequate proportion. One of the 3 of them is excluded and the fire stops immediately.

Growth: Nature grows towards Resilience, expanding and transforming its environment. At first, we will need to ensure that a little flame will start a small fire and rapidly grow, although in a contained environment. Then we will put in place the required parts and ensure balanced supply chain (input) and protect conditions (future prices, investments, demand, production). Being small, enter a Greenhousing stage. Our regenerative sprouts needs protection for a while.

Asymmetric fuel or oxygen supply can decrease growth as well a a supply that is faster than the ability of the fire to heat them. To much air will off the candle, to much wood will prevent initial fire to get enough oxygen. Too much heat may lead to spontaneous burn, too little wont be enough to start combustion. If fire growth is not planned and controlled make no sense to get involved.

I would like to find people that feel enthusiastic about Hive Potential as an Enabler for Regenerative Cultures, and start a community to share and explore new ways of being organized, production, capital and governance.

Life is in essence Regenerative.
