2025 is Simplifying my To-Do List and Reminders

Hi, Hive friends! I take a different strategy to be productive in 2025. As a mom, I need to simplify things. Last year, I couldn't continue creating a monthly bullet journal because we got busy. The last time I got creative with my monthly journal was in June 2024.

I misplaced my notebook, and my kids destroyed it. Still, I prefer to use this notebook. I love it. It feels comfortable every time I open a few pages.

Every day, I write all my feelings here when I am in a bad mood using my mother tongue. It's good nobody can understand what I've been writing here. Hahaha!

Near the screen of my computer, I posted a To-Do list of my everyday house chores. It's easy to look at them every day and that means, I need to get up from sitting in front of my computer. I can take a break, stretch up a little, walk a little, and do quick house chores now and then.

Imagine that, you've been glued in front of your computer screen. Suddenly, you see that folding clothes has not been accomplished. So yeah, almost every day I fold the clothes, thanks to this reminder I see every day. Do you love to fold clothes every day? Me, I don't but it is a game changer. Seriously. :D

Using Post-It Notes is also a great help to create a list of reminders like arrivals of my orders, upcoming dates of some events or appointments, etc.

Organizing Clothes

I always have trouble with clothes because it's always a mess. As mentioned earlier, I don't like folding clothes every day. The kids go to school so I have to prepare the clothes they wear for a week. Easy to grab pants, t-shirts, and long-sleeved shirts.

Instead of storing the socks and underwear of the kids in the storage, I got these hanging organizers so I don't have to panic where I misplaced everything. I am not sure I am just making excuses but is brain fog for real? There are times I am so forgetful that I may have trouble searching for the small things. Easy to see, grab, and fill in space.

When I arrived here in France, I didn't bring many clothes because I was pregnant. All my clothes from the Philippines were Extra Small in size so I gave them away to some teen girls who were about my size. My sister, who has Medium-sized clothes let me wear her clothes while I was pregnant but I only brought a few of her clothes here. I bought a Large-sized jacket in Cebu to protect me from the cold when I touched down in Europe. Eventually, I received a new winter jacket and pullovers here. I've been wearing oversized T-shirts by my husband because I feel so comfortable. Haha!

I did buy some clothes last week and I checked how many clothes I've received from the family as gifts. For 3-4 years, I never dressed up nicely because I was lazy, boring, and unconfident with my body. Now, I decided to organize my clothes in a hanger.

I don't have my own closet but using this little organizer really made a difference. I can easily see all the few clothes that I have which need to be mix and match.

What are your strategies to simplify things around the house to be more productive? Let me know in the comments. Who knows, you can help a forgetful mama like me? Hehe!

I'm addicted to organizing vids to the point where I spend more time watching than organizing! 😝

Here's a Marie Kondo Blessing ✨

Rule #1 if you have kids is to have your own safe box away from their dangerous tiny hands. Keep journals and paper out of reach, kids can be crazy!

I notice on your notes that you do have an "every day list". Not sure if you've seen this video with Marie Kondo explaining things that should be done daily, weekly or a couple of times each month. That might help!

On clothes...

I had a hyperfixation once on folding clothes after watching such vids on Tiktok. Might want to check out those 3-second folding videos, really nice trick. Got all my clothes (we have what feels like truckloads) in less than an hour.

Happy organizing!

I just made it simply as house chores daily list since these are the usual things I can do almost everyday or every other day. Although some in the list can be done weekly. I've heard Marie Kondo ditched her MarieKondoing style of organizing now she has kids. I need to watch it pa. Sometimes, I watch YouTube videos about organizing while I'm doing some cleaning or folding clothes.
