Saludos amigos de la comunidad de Bellas Artes, en esta ocasión comparto con ustedes mi experiencia en una de las clases de Actualizaciones, la semana pasada comenzamos un nuevo semestre y esta es una de las materias que necesito ver, el profesor Carlos Lázala es quien dicta esta unidad curricular, aparte de impartir clases en UNEARTE también es fundador de MEDIAX, una escuela audiovisual privada, ubicada en Caracas.
Debo admitir que me tiene un poco preocupada la cantidad de materias que inscribí, estoy asimilando aun que tendré que pasar gran tiempo en la universidad, esto para mi es algo difícil ya que, tengo algún tiempo desligada de la universidad y debo adaptarme otra vez, pero voy con todo el ánimo de aprender cosas nuevas y avanzar en la carrera.
Greetings friends of the Fine Arts community, this time I share with you my experience in one of the classes of Updates, last week we started a new semester and this is one of the subjects that I need to see, Professor Carlos Lazala is who teaches this curriculum unit, besides teaching at UNEARTE is also founder of MEDIAX, a private audiovisual school, located in Caracas.
I must admit that I am a little worried about the amount of subjects I enrolled, I am still assimilating that I will have to spend a lot of time at the university, this is something difficult for me because I have some time detached from the university and I must adapt again, but I go with all the spirit to learn new things and advance in the career.
Según el plan que nos compartió el profesor durante el semestre exploraremos los avances más importantes en el medio audiovisual hasta hoy y, cuál es la proyección que tiene para los próximos años de la producción audiovisual.
En lo personal, me parece de vital importancia esta unidad curricular, necesitamos mantenernos curiosos e indagar como ha sido este proceso de evolución, dónde nos encontramos actualmente y hacía donde apuntan las investigaciones y avances más recientes.
According to the plan that the teacher shared with us during the semester we will explore the most important advances in the audiovisual medium until today and what is the projection that has for the coming years of audiovisual production.
Personally, I think this curricular unit is of vital importance, we need to stay curious and investigate how this process of evolution has been, where we are now and where the most recent research and advances point to.
Es sorprendente indagar en el hecho de que las nuevas tecnologías están transformando el medio y además, la forma en que se cuentan las historias. El profesor planteó una interrogante, ¿Creen que las historias que se cuentan hoy son distintas a las que se contaban hace 10 años? Yo pienso que a lo largo del tiempo siempre hemos buscado hablar de lo que nos sucede y lo que sentimos, la narrativa gira en torno a nuestras vivencias y sentimientos, por supuesto han cambiado muchísimas cosas, cada avance tecnológico se va integrado y aportando características nuevas a la narrativa, hay nuevos medios, nuevas herramientas que nos permiten expresar y contar con una cantidad de recursos creativos infinitos, así que indudablemente, las historias han cambiado, aunque seguimos hablando de amor, envidia, odio y de todo el acontecer humano, la manera en la que hoy hablamos de estos temas se ve enriquecida por el surgimiento de nuevos elementos que nutren a nuestras narrativas y que además transforman el modo de ver cine y percibir el mundo.
It is surprising to inquire into the fact that new technologies are transforming the medium and also the way stories are told. The professor posed a question: Do you think that the stories told today are different from those told 10 years ago? I think that throughout time we have always sought to talk about what happens to us and what we feel, the narrative revolves around our experiences and feelings, of course many things have changed, each technological advance is integrated and brings new features to the narrative, there are new media, new tools that allow us to express and tell with an infinite amount of creative resources, So undoubtedly, the stories have changed, although we still talk about love, envy, hate and all human events, the way we talk about these issues today is enriched by the emergence of new elements that nourish our narratives and also transform the way we see cinema and perceive the world.
Por otro lado esta clase me hizo pensar en todo el cambio que ha habido en el mercado y la forma de distribución, hace (15 años) la televisión jugaba un papel fundamental en la producción audiovisual, tal vez como formato no ha cambiado tanto y sigue presente, pero no podemos negar la transformación que ha tenido la forma en que consumimos el contenido. El cine y la televisión se trasladaron a plataformas de streamig, ver una película está al alcance de un click, ir al cine ahora es una opción para quienes deciden vivir la experiencia de asistir a una sala de proyección, aunque la mayoría prefiere hacerlo desde la comodidad de su hogar, es bastante interesante indagar estos cambios, no podemos vivir fuera de contexto.
On the other hand this class made me think about all the change that has taken place in the market and the form of distribution, 15 years ago television played a fundamental role in audiovisual production, perhaps as a format it has not changed so much and is still present, but we cannot deny the transformation that has taken place in the way we consume content. Cinema and television have moved to streaming platforms, watching a movie is just a click away, going to the movies is now an option for those who decide to live the experience of attending a screening room, although most prefer to do it from the comfort of their home, it is quite interesting to investigate these changes, we cannot live out of context.
