Here's a song written for Rosalie. She and I shared a couple of daddy-daughter days together this week while her brothers were out of town with mama. So we took the opportunity to enjoy some outdoor adventures, capture some photos, and record a song for Hive Open mic.

Wow, we're 20 weeks into the Hive Open Mic event, woohoo! This community has given me an outlet for creative expression, a community for genuine connection, and a chance to explore the possibilities of global harmony. And I love you! Thank you. This song was terrific fun. Usually, when I sing with Rosalie, it's at bedtime, so she is resting rather than singing along. This time was wonderful to hear her voice with me. :)
Thanks for noticing the rainbow skull. It's a deer skull I found in the woods on the morning after Christmas. That day, I woke up feeling kind of lost in my spirituality because I didn't celebrate the Christmas holiday in the same way I did in previous years. I didn't know exactly what to do with my energy, but I felt a strong desire to connect with the divine. So I went on a walk in the woods, and started singing some sacred songs. Then voila, a deer skeleton presented itself! I gave the deer a name: Rainbow, and then I felt the deer gifted his skull for me to bring into our home. It was my first time safeguarding and mounting a skull. I kept the antlers raw and painted the bones gold, then mounted it on a block of wood with a rainbow decoration. The deer also gifted our family an inspiring song, and continues to watch over us.
Rosalie is precious! Please tell her that I enjoyed the song and liked the way she accompanied you! The photos are fabulous, and reveal such great bonding moments! 💖
Thank you, I'll let her know you like her part in the song. :) Yep, it was a cherished time together, and I'm just so glad to be her dad.
