HiveFest 2020 (Day 1)

This is my first time attending Hivefest and I am super stoked about it. The previous where they had it in krakow, thailand and all, I couldn't make it because I had other plans and one of them was my family trip to Vietnam. This year, because of the pandemic, @roelandp and the crew decided that we would have the festival in virtual reality VR on a pretty cool software called altspacevr. Again, a big thank you to @roelandp and his team for making this happen again and at quite a tough year for everyone, Hivefest still came about.

When I first entered the lobby/campsite, I was greeted with a nice fireplace and Hivers were already starting to pour in. I started getting used to my controls by walking around and seeing what hidden mickeys I can find. Just in front of the campfire was the schedule for Hivefest 2020 day 1 and 2. The lineups are pretty awesome and I cannot wait for today's speakers especially one with Fullalt by @enginewitty and New Game by @scrooger. Have always seen the gaming industry as a very potential way for normal people like myself to learn and adopt blockchain tech so I would love to support any games on the chain. There's even a few info boards about what the Hive blockchain is.

The cool part about all this is the way we receive our event badge. Everyone will receive a secret passphrase to obtain their badges. These badges are also interactive, you can click on them and a small menu would appear for you to perform several actions such as check hiver's info, send hive tips and many more. Really nice touch here.

There are many surprises altspacevr have to offer. I know some of them entered the maze and never got out. There's hide and seek, island exploration, a official hive photobooth which was cool. Heck! You can even play chess and the piano in the NFT art gallery.

After much wandering and meeting up with Hivers, the event finally started off with @roelandp giving an opening. It's pretty cool how the whole 'game' works where u can raise ur hand to ask questions and all, but I won't get into those details. For the finale, I guess Hive is all about the amazing people you meet on here.
