Why @ionomy? Because the service is fast and doesn't require KYC to be able to make your transactions from token to token. It takes less than 5 minutes to sign up for an account and you can start trading on their site immediately, which is good if you want 'quick & almost instant' transfers.

Do take note however, NEVER store bulk of your tokens in any exchanges because they are prone to hacks but instead, store them in cold wallets AKA Offline Wallets. (Google 'safest way to store your crypto' and read more there)

Today, as easy as using Ionomy exchange sounds, I know being someone who is not well versed with crypto such as myself, this guide may just come in handy at solving your FAQs and probably saving you time and chances of losing your tokens.

Using Ionomy.com

First, login to your account. Enter your 2FA Code if you've enabled it. I would highly advice you to have this security feature enabled for an extra layer of security. 2FA Codes needs to get permission from your handphone to approve your login. People won't be able to login your account unless they get a hold of your handphone. (This feature can be enabled when you've login into your Ionomy account)

Once you've login, you'll be directed to your 'wallet'. Here you can see your transaction history, and assets.

Since we are talking about transferring HIVE Tokens, Select the HIVE barcode as shown in the photo above.

TWO Important things you should take note of : (1) Account to send to and (2) Hive Memo Code

All you have to do is send the amount of HIVE you want to the account @ionomy on HIVE and paste the EXACT memo code given above.

Head into your Hive wallet, for me, I am using peakd.com.

Under Hive Tokens, click send.

Enter in your details.
(1) Make sure the account you're sending to is ionomy
(2) Enter the amount of HIVE Tokens you want to send.
(3) Paste the memo code you've received previously in ionomy.

Click Continue to Send.

Note that if your memo code is pasted wrongly, your tokens may be lost

You'll need to approve your transaction with your private active key.

Head back to Ionomy.com and you will see your transactions appear under your wallets tab. It usually takes a few seconds to go through. Being the HIVE Blockchain, it's VERY FAST.

Head back to the markets.

Here, select HIVE.

(1) BTC/HIVE pairing means that you will SELL your HIVE tokens for BTC or BUY your HIVE tokens with BTC.

(2) Choose the action you want to do for this BTC/HIVE pairing.

You can choose to trade other available tokens that are listed there as well. It may seem scary at first glance, having to see all the red and green sticks on the charts but do some research on google and you'll pick it up fairly quickly.
