Groundnut harvest; My first time experience.

Hello my home steading neighbors, how do you do?
I am so excited today as I want to share with you about how my weekend went. I went to the farm with a friend of mine. Well it's not my first time in the farm, but it's actually my first time in a legume farm😂

I was told we were going for a groundnut harvest on getting to the farm, I wasn't sure we where in the right place because, I could only see leaves and there was groundnut in sight, so I became confused.

Just then, my big aunty got to work and started harvesting groundnut, to my surprise, the ground nut grow into the ground and not on the sterm like a maize would.
I made my humble comment on how amazed I was, they made a joke out of it😂, but I had learnt something new, and I'm happy.

Groundnut harvest was cool, we had made some jokes while working, gist around different areas and some other harvest we would need do before the year runs out.
About hours later, the sun began to smile on us, it felt warm at first but honestly when it became noon, the sun became unbearable, we had to rest our head under some tiny tress around the farm land and continued making some light jokes.

Then after regaining some level of strength. We decided to start removing the groundnut from the sterm and put into a sack that we have prepared to take home, we diverted our energy into doing that since the sun would not spare but burn hard on our skin.

We made the harvest to a large portion before heading home. We would go back during the week to haverst the rest of the ground.
