The morning yesterday was spent partially keeping the printer going on various projects. The first was an attempt at a season pass holder. It actually fits the pass exactly it's just not secure enough for skiing with. I'm trying to make one that will attach to the goggles strap or an arm band so they aren't flopping around like a guppy.
A seed starting tray but I forgot that I had scaled the others to taller so this is a bit shorter than the others I have.
Glorious sunshine, for all of a couple hours. Then the clouds moved back in as the storm headed our way. AGAIN.
Another try at the pass holders. I tried making the first one taller but it wasn't enough yet. The front one only fits paper.
The gate by the greenhouse had the fence all but come off the front and I needed to finally fix it. I ran the air compressor hose across the yard and had EXACTLY enough to reach with the air stapler.
My Dad had left it and a box of staples and I finally put it to use. It worked so nicely to fix the fence to the wood with the 2"+ long staples. Now the bottom is super fixed so the dog won't bash it apart again.
I had the Arsenal game on and they destroyed Madrid. Every player on the field was amazed at Rice's second penalty, as they should be as it was one of the best penalty shots I've ever seen.
The boys and I loaded into the sled to take R to his dentist appointment. It was 12:40 and we had more than enough time to get there. I put the key in the ignition and turned it to which the car did nothing. I pulled out the battery charger and set it to boost/jump and tried.... NOTHING.
I texted @stryeyz and through it all we got rescheduled to Monday...
So I pulled the starter out of the car which was a bit of a pain in the ass to get the bottom bolt out. I took it to the table by my truck, got my multimeter and tested it.
OL!
The coil is bad. I put the charger on it, the positive on the terminal AND the bolt then touched the negative to the frame. The shaft extends but refuses to turn. So the solenoid is still good but the motor is not.
MOTHER FUCKER!!! I said it, this is my year of mechanics.
So Autozone has them in stock but I had no ride to go get it so I will do that this morning.
Found a garden auger model and scaled it to 2" wide. It came out rather nice but I have devise a means of attaching a rod to use with a drill. Also thinking of making a 1" - 1 1/2" wide one that could be used for garlic planting...
Here comes the rain, doot n doot doot
The old fire pit was now just a mound of half burned wood and ashes so I got a fire going with the remnants. It took it's sweet ass time to get going and needed much cajoling to stay burning.
And then the rain hit but the fire managed to keep going through it.
@stryeyz got home from work and the store and it was too late for me to head up to town for the starter so I just hooked up the trailer for the grain run I have done this morning.
OMG they suck. SO BADDDDDDD. Lost 7-1 apparently, I turned the game off.
Was able to get the coals transferred to the pseudo firepit and grilled the burgers.
J couldn't help himself and roasted mini marshmallows on toothpicks with extension sticks. Silly.
Got an hour soak in and while we were in we got a nice lightning flash display as the storms skimmed us to the north.
I've been to town for grain already and will go empty it in a bit. AutoZone opens at 7:30 so I will head up for the starter so I can get the sled running again. PDC player's championship is on and Menzies won yesterday which is great to see since Cammy is a good and nice guy, I have to change filament and get the printer going on stuff for the craft show, try to work on my truck more, I'd love to fly possibly, and I have to source the plastic part for the Ascent.

Those Senco nail guns last forever!💪😊
The original nail guns made in Cincinnati!
Yeah this one I'm pretty sure was from our racing friend who killed himself 35 odd years ago, and it was well used then. They were made to LAST, unlike every single thing manufactured now for planned obsolescence or just limited lifespan so we keep buying and continuing the cycle of being good little consumers.
So very true!👍
You can always get very cheep repair parts for Sinco guns….
Sad to hear about you friend……
