I slept like shit yesterday morning and ended up on the couch until I decided to get up around 4:30am. After getting myself ready I made sure the tires were full on the truck and trailer and then headed out for town. IT was a bit foggy for parts but I popped in and out of it all the way to town.
The trailer setup really helps as I can leave the barrels for the brewery and not worry about getting them back in time for the next brew. This is the first time in months I have picked up from this one and it took a minute to remember my route to get there.
It didn't take too long to have the barrels loaded and I was on my way home.
I was a bit surprised by just how much traffic there was but it was a Tuesday morning so likely just the standard morning commute masses.
I got the printer moved back and went to print before my doofy ass had leveled it so had to stop and do the proper steps. Once it was ready I set it to print while I went out to unload the grain.
I spread a good bit around the garden on the upper end of the main rows. Not a ton but still some down.
The rest got tossed and dumped in the sheep pen. I blocked the stupid turkeys in so they were forced to the pen for the grain.
Twas a day of NHL games and the world is waiting for GR8 to surpass the record with only 25 remaining.
Mid morning I got to work on the stove fan remounting. I pulled the glass from the fan to make it easier to work with and to clean.
I ended up finding wood to screw into, just farther back than I had screws for originally. Now I have long enough screws so the mounting bracket is super solid.
Cleaning the glass was a pain in the ass but it seriously needed it.
@stryeyz is super stoked on the postit note stencils I found and printed out for her. I have a number of them now that I am printing off.
I went out to the studio mid day with the phone and decibel meter app to try and calibrate it, which seemed to work.
Part of the reason the fan fell was us setting stuff on the glass over the years so I installed a shelf that will do the job so the fan will have nothing on it.
Went out to the garden to test the 10-22 but found the microphone on the phone is garbage and can't handle the range. It would just peak out at some number no matter what. So I have an actual decibel meter coming that I will be able to connect to my computer and has a much better response capability. I want to know the real numbers but need a chronograph to pair for the real info.
Got the fire going by dark and pulled steaks out to thaw.
The NHL Winter Classic was a blowout but still a great game. The outdoor games are just awesome and it's too bad they don't do far more.
These checklists are pretty slick. I like the bottom one as paper can be slid in and labeled and then have the tabs to denote completion. I printed it in place and it took a bit to get the tabs to slide smoothly but they work well now.
I scaled these to fit the holder and they give more options.
I pulled down the fireworks box and handed out some to the boys who went out and spent the evening blasting them off around the farm.
Bison T-bone steaks for dinner grilled over the fire. That's all, just some meat pron.
Delicious last meal of the year.
I put on Idiocracy for the afternoon and then while we played Rummy Royal I had Dogma on.
We made it out to soak around 10pm and made sure to be out for midnight.
The filament had clogged in the printer so I had to fix it and I put in a new nozzle to start off the year. I'll get it back going here shortly.
Midnight and we were in the garden as the boys lit off bottle rockets and lady fingers.
Our valley GOES OFF! The size of the BOOOOOOOMS and the rumble of sound along the valley is incredible. If there was ever an invasion they would meet their match in this region. There were some really big tannerite booms and a hell of a lot of fireworks blasting off all around.
Woke to snow this morning but just a skiff. I'll get the printer going for the day, finish the ski vises assembly, PDC is on, cleaning and organizing around the house, I have my Y/E goals set, and I'm not sure what else for the day.
