4:30am yesterday morning I was out the door on my way to town for grain. For the most part I am able to alleviate any traffic concerns by making my runs so early. I saw the moon was huge on the horizon as I was driving and had hoped it would still be up when I got to the brewery.
Unfortunately it had gone down below sunset hill so wasn't visible. I had 4 barrels waiting for me which I got loaded into the trailer quickly.
I have the trip dialed well and it takes me about 45 minutes on average round trip. If the morning commuter traffic was out in my direction it would take me a good bit longer. The stop lights are also sensored before 6am so they detect when I approach a light, unlike daytime when they are timed.
Dawn was just lighting the sky as I got home.
PDC was on in the morning but the late session was a pain to find. Price ended up winning the day.
Autozone opened at 7:30 so I headed out to get the trailer emptied before 8 then headed straight to Deer Park once the trailer was disconnected. I spread most around the garden as a final coat before tilling.
The sheep got the rest of the remnants which the birds massed onto when they were let out.
I took the core with and got my new starter then was home by 8:30am.
I had the printer going on a spider which was done not long after I got home.
The starter went in easier than the old one came out. After reconnecting everything it started right up.
Swapped to PLA and ran some spider parts, bbs for the bb guns, and a pikachu which actually ended up pretty good.
Mid day I was out working on the engine. The first head needed the exhaust side cleaned still so I took all the valves and springs out then went at the ports with the brush.
I scrubbed all around and got a bunch of carbon knocked off.
That's when I went and grabbed my dremel with a wire brush and hit all the ports which really cleaned them nicely.
Polishing the ports. Once they were all done I got the valves and springs all back in.
Then it was time to remove the other head. While I am in this far I might as well do a complete tear down so both sides are equal.
Cams off I had to get the exhaust bolts loose but this time I knew what I was doing so it was easier. The head bolts broke free with a lot of force on each one. some straggler parts unbolted and the head was off.
Down to the block now.
The head is now waiting for me to run through it but it should be faster now that I am up to speed. My day is set out for me already.
Ran a bunch of whistles through for the craft show table. the ones in front are tiny but fucking super loud! Intense how loud that tiny thing is. It's the size of a zipper pull.
Not feeling like cooking we headed up to Tricks for the first time.
They have a pool tournament every Wednesday so the bar side was busy but our side was not. The boys had a blast.
Soft tip darts SUCK!!!! Insanely light weight, the points bend and break, and the board gets filled with broken points. The nice thing was they didn't have to put in change they just got to throw.
J's final shot of the 8 ball was killer. It had that satisfying CRACK of a perfectly hit pool ball as it slammed into the corner pocket. We ate then hauled our leftovers home with us.
The bb gun was done when we got home. Pretty slick little thing that seems to work better off the plate in PLA over PET. The PET requires a lot of tuning to get it to work well were the PLA is smooth and just needed one hole widened.
The boys got to "camp out" in studio A while we went out to soak.
Today is going to be 70F which will help dry the soil so I can till soon. I will work on the truck engine more, need to test the sled out and try cleaning more off the engine so it doesn't smoke so bad, keep the printer going as we only have 2 days till the craft show, Utd play, PDC is on same time, then this evening we are going to see Duncan Trussel at the Spokane comedy so the boys get a sitter.

A little bit of porting with the Dremel!💪😊
Glad the Subaru is finished !😇
Well..... about that....
Just found that one of the transmission cooler lines, the metal ones, has a leak and was blasting fluid all over. @stryeyz is bringing me home hose so I can take the metal sections out and run hose.
Seriously, it just won't stop!
Uhhh…… sorry to hear that!🙄 I wonder if the metal line was rubbing up against something……🤔
