One of the beauty I enjoy growing and planting crops is how much this things saves me from so much spending. With the inflation and almost how everything is expensive in the country it is one of the things that keeps me back from spending too much. When you can do alot of diy by yourself you won't have to pay people to do things for you. The fact that I could make my own clothes and that I can grow some of the food I need has kept me back from too much financial worry.

Like I said earlier I am in a rush to plant some vegetables in this first season of planting as the this place can get flooded any moment from now. It is a good thing that at least I can grow two seasons of vegetables here even though the floods are usually a limitations. About the beginning of the rains I can make some first harvest and enjoy some home grown vegetables then towards the end of the year I can also do likewise.
The good news for today is that the transplanted fluted pumpkins survived because sometimes one can encounter challenges where purchases Seedlings die off after planting. One must be conscious enough to wet it at least twice daily, keep it away from extreme heat and animals like lizard which may want to cut off the head. This one the seedling can be successful transplanted and kept alive. The successful transplanting of the pumpkins moved me to immediately spread the vegetables in the garden.

The unexpected happened towards the evening that Saturday we had another episode of heavy storm that same Saturday 13th April. This is happening just a week after we had the last storm. I guess that this is becoming an everyday Saturday.

The rains were heavy and filled the compound, this got me a bit worried if I should expect any growth from here or not.

The seeds were not really expensive and I could grow them but to have some veggies grow above the ground level here when the rains would not bother them much is the challenge here now.

The fluted pumpkin is in sack and on Elevated ground. That one has no issues. The yams and water yams are all doing fine and now I'm left with progress with the vegetables.

If the water bothered these seeds and they get rotten I will make plans to purchase some more seeds.

Meanwhile I got some Agric engineered seeds which will take less than a week to germinate. So I should expect to see Some sprouting vegetables latest Tomorrow or next.
