Well, it happened...

Today I woke up early with a mission in mind. My wife and I were heading into town to order the newest invention from our beloved coffee shop, The Sweet Place. (@jersonsweetplace)

You see, yesterday, as I was helping Jerson set up his personal laptop, he invited me to try this new concoction he’s been working on in his secret laboratory in the back. He might’ve gotten the idea from somewhere else, but I’m confident he’s the only one around these parts bold enough to actually do something like this.

The only proper name for it, as far as I can tell, is the Pistaccino.

As the name implies, it’s a cappuccino blended with pistachio — a marriage made in heaven, as far as I’m concerned. Being a fan of pistachios, I knew the moment he mentioned it that I’d love it. And of course, a chemical dependency has now been born.

It’s obvious to me that Jerson is the kind of guy who doesn’t shy away from trying new things. The very fact that he’s flourished as much as he has proves that. And now, his curiosity about Hive — and more importantly, his willingness to accept Hive as payment for his delicious Pistaccinos — further cements that spirit.

Almost every day I tell my wife how I envision this whole thing playing out. How we’re being handed a golden opportunity — not just to help our little town, but to set the tone for a peaceful revolution.

I can see it clearly: customers walking into The Sweet Place, preferring to use Hive. Not only would it reduce friction in everyday transactions, but it would also let Jerson offer his products at a discount — without hurting his bottom line.
How powerful is that?

Hopefully tomorrow, I’ll sit down with Jerson and we’ll revisit how to make invoices for sales. I’m willing to work with him until it becomes as easy as tying his shoes.

Hoy me desperté temprano con una misión en mente. Mi esposa y yo íbamos a ir al pueblo a pedir la nueva invención de nuestra querida cafetería, The Sweet Place. (@jersonsweetplace)

Verás, ayer, mientras ayudaba a Jerson a configurar su laptop personal, me invitó a probar una nueva mezcla que ha estado preparando en su laboratorio secreto allá atrás. Tal vez sacó la idea de algún lado, pero estoy seguro de que es el único por estos rumbos con el valor de intentar algo así.

El único nombre que le queda bien, al menos hasta donde yo sé, es Pistaccino.
Como el nombre lo sugiere, es un cappuccino mezclado con pistacho — una unión celestial, si me preguntas. Siendo fanático de los pistachos, supe en cuanto lo mencionó que me iba a encantar. Y por supuesto, ya nació una dependencia química.

Es evidente que Jerson es de esos que no le temen a probar cosas nuevas. El simple hecho de que haya crecido tanto lo demuestra. Y ahora, su curiosidad por Hive —y más aún, su disposición a aceptar pagos en Hive por sus deliciosos pistaccinos— lo confirma aún más.

Casi todos los días le cuento a mi esposa cómo me imagino que todo esto puede funcionar. Cómo se nos está dando una oportunidad de oro — no solo para ayudar a nuestro pequeño pueblo, sino también para marcar el inicio de una revolución pacífica.

Lo veo con claridad: clientes entrando a The Sweet Place, prefiriendo pagar con Hive. No solo eliminaría fricciones en las transacciones cotidianas, sino que también permitiría que Jerson ofrezca sus productos con descuento — sin afectar su ganancia neta.

¿No es poderoso eso?

Ojalá mañana me siente con Jerson para repasar nuevamente cómo generar facturas por sus ventas. Estoy dispuesto a trabajar con él hasta que sea tan fácil como amarrarse los zapatos.
