Football On Hive Last Man Standing Competition

Last Man Standing is back this season on Football on Hive and as per usual it is a free competition so football fans or not so much fans can have a laugh and a giggle as they make their way through the first 10-15 games of the Premiership season. Our current Champion @teofilex11 is waiting to defend his prestigious title of the Last Man Standing or the Last Them Standing for all you woke minded people.
Many people ask me Do I need to know about football to play this game. The answer is no. @amirtheawesome1 and @talesfrmthecrypt are two of the most knowledgeable people i know around football but this grand tournament has escaped them. It reminds me of Messi's epic journey to win a World Cup.

The Rules

This is a very simple game but it is amazing how many people mess it up.

Pick a team: Choose wisely, my friend, as this team will be your only hope in the treacherous world of football predictions.
No repeat picks:
Once you've chosen a team, you can't select them again. It's like trying to date the same person twice – awkward and not allowed.
Survive and advance:
If your chosen team wins, you move on to the next round. If they lose or draw, you're out faster than a referee's whistle.
One game at a time:
For the winners each week, you'll make a new pick. No looking ahead, no cheating with a crystal ball – just one game at a time.
No draws allowed:
In the event of a draw, both teams are eliminated. It's like a double-elimination tournament, but with more drama and less mercy.
The last one standing: The competition continues until only one person remains. The last man (or woman) standing will be crowned the champion, showered with glory, and probably a few congratulatory comments.
** Over the last couple of seasons if someone missed a selection I would award them the first team in alphabetical order but seeing that Arsenal and Aston Villa are very good now, I am changing things around a bit. The teams you will be allocated are now Ipswich , Southampton and Leicester. The participant will have a week to put their selections in . Ain't got no time for lazy ass stragglers.

Remember, this is a game of strategy, wit, and a little bit of luck. Choose wisely, and may the football gods smile upon you!

Just pick a team you think will win. It is so easy!!! Win you get through. Lose or draw and you are eliminated. Simple as that. The winners will be announced in a results post after Gameweek 1 and the lucky winners will move to the next round of fixtures. Selections in the comments please. Gameweek begins on 8pm 16th August so deadline will be 19:59 if you are @deniskj.
