The long wait is over, as Liverpool just confirmed that both Mohammed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk have agreed to a contract extension. Two days ago, I gave an update on how Salah's camp has progressed in talks to extend Salah's contract at the club they say Virgil Van Dijk, two of the oldest players at the club currently and are both team captains for the Reds. The new contract extension will be valid until 2027, as I predicted that it would likely be a two-year deal for both players, and that is what happened this week.

Mohammed Salah has accepted all the details of the contract and has put his signature on the contract papers. The Egyptian expressed his happiness to continue at the club and hoped to win more titles with the Reds, as he is sure they can achieve more in the coming years. Arne Slot was key to making this signing possible as the Liverpool manager expressed his happiness for Salah to continue at the club and hoped he could achieve incredible things at the club.

There is no Liverpool fan in the world who is not excited by this news about Salah extending his time at the club it is what every fan wants, as Salah still has it in him to deliver more incredible moments and help the team win titles in the future. Salah, this season, like I said in my last post, has been incredible and could have won the Ballon d'Or if Liverpool had not been kicked out of the competition. If we are being realistic, Salah cannot win the Ballon d'Or this year.

It would be nice to see a Live player hold the award at Anfield, but it won't happen this year but maybe next year could be different but we just have to see how the team will be next season. It is good news for all Liverpool fans around the world on Salah's extension, and now the club can focus on getting their act for next season because it won't be easy as other teams will be gearing up, especially Manchester City, who are surely going to bounce back next season.

Virgil Van Dijk has not put his signature on paper yet but has agreed to sign an extension with Liverpool, so hopefully, this week, the Dutchman should put his signature on paper, which seals the deal for both sides. It has been a good week and it even got better today as Arsenal drew at home to Brentford which has given the Reds an advantage to go clear at the top of the table and by the looks of the stats Liverpool could be crowned EPL champions by next week if they win their match this weekend and the next.

Liverpool will be facing West Ham United tomorrow afternoon in Anfield, another important match that the Reds must win to seal their title victory this season. Arsenal's drop today should be enough motivation for the Reds to go all out on West Ham tomorrow and get those important three points. This is where I drop my pen, and thanks for sticking around to the end of this post.
