Death is Part of Life

If there is one thing I have taught my heart not to be afraid of, it is death, because as we all know, "Death is inevitable" and there are only two stages of life which are 'Birth' and 'Death'. So while one family is crying for their loss, some other families are jubilating about the birth of their child or children.

Yeah, maybe not everyone will die and not everyone can die at the same time, but the sure thing is everyone will and always will taste the knock of death in their lives or loved ones' lives. Some may never have a firsthand experience but as far as they have a relationship with someone who has taste or had first-hand experience about what death can do in their lives and that of their families, do can understand a bit about the feeling.

So, yeah, after my young self watched my lively and promising father who left us with the promise of returning home with my school items to get myself prepared for the resumption of the next session of school lay still and looking different in a coffin and later laid to rest six feet below, it dawn on me that there was more to life than just living.

So, I am not afraid of dying, even though I know the effect it would have on my family, especially my mom, I know how it would change her life, but I do know that she will adjust after some time and concentrate more on her remaining kids. What I am afraid of is dying without a name, an impact, a trace of my existence here on earth.

It doesn't have to be millions or thousands of people who will feel the impact but the little group or my little circle of people who have come in contact with me while I was alive. What was my role in their lives and if they will remember me for anything good?

Death - What do you think about death? Do you feel uncomfortable talking about it? Do you fear death? Is it taboo to talk about it?

Many people have given up the ghost, many people who were met with their looms, untimely never planned it, but it happened, so I am not afraid of death or to talk about it because it is inevitable and can happen to anyone, anywhere and anytime.

So, I am not afraid of death, I am more afraid of leaving this world without anyone knowing about my existence and of course afraid of how my mother will take the news of my death. The only thing I pray for is to die a peaceful death, more like sleeping and not waking up is a more peaceful death than one can imagine.

Thank you for reading!!!

Really liked this part. At the end the only thing we leave in this world are the experiences we live with the people around us.

I want this too!
