Hello everyone

Today was pretty typical – my husband had some banking stuff to take care of, so we decided to make a day out of it. Me and my kid, we're always up for an outing, you know? So, we tagged along as he headed to the bank to sort out his money matters.

After getting the financial stuff sorted, my husband suggested we swing by the Central Department Store. It's this massive place in Phuket, the biggest department store around. It's got everything – shops, different brands, restaurants, and even more banks. It's like a whole little world in one spot.

After my husband wrapped up his business at the bank, he turned to my son and me with a question, "What do you guys feel like eating?" It's become a bit of a tradition for us – every time we tag along to the Central Department Store, we make sure to grab a bite together.

Without hesitation, my son and I simultaneously blurted out, "Fuji!" It had been ages since we had Japanese food together, and the idea of enjoying some delicious sushi and other Japanese delights at Fuji got us all excited. The prospect of a long-overdue culinary reunion made our choice unanimous.

With our stomachs eagerly anticipating the flavors of Fuji, we headed to the Japanese restaurant within the bustling aisles of the Central Department Store. The aroma of soy sauce and the sizzling sounds from the kitchen welcomed us as we settled into our seats, ready for a delightful meal.

As we browsed through the menu, memories of our previous visits to Fuji flooded back. The anticipation grew, and we couldn't wait to indulge in the savory goodness that awaited us. It wasn't just about the food; it was about relishing those moments together, creating a connection over shared meals and conversations.

As we settled into our seats at Fuji, the anticipation of our favorite Japanese dishes filled the air. My dining routine was a bit predictable—I couldn't resist ordering my go-to: cereal fried rice with salmon and grilled salmon belly with salt. It had become a comforting ritual, the familiar taste bringing back memories of previous visits.

My husband, a creature of habit when it came to Fuji, opted for the saba fish, a dish he never failed to enjoy, even if the name escaped him each time. Alongside the savory saba, he decided to treat himself to a generous bowl of ramen and a Kani Agedama Roll, adding a variety of flavors to his meal.

Our son, with his own culinary preferences, went for the Salmon Set Teriyaki, a choice that promised a delightful combination of succulent salmon and savory teriyaki sauce. The table soon became a feast of colors and aromas as our orders arrived, each dish a work of art in its own right.

The crunch of the cereal fried rice, the tenderness of the grilled salmon belly, the rich flavors of the saba fish, and the satisfying warmth of the ramen created a symphony of tastes at our table. Laughter and conversation filled the air as we shared bites and exchanged thoughts on the delectable spread before us.

It wasn't just a meal; it was a celebration of our unique preferences, a culinary journey that brought us together. Fuji, with its diverse menu, had a way of turning a simple dining experience into a cherished family tradition. As we finished our last bites and lingered over the meal, the joy of good food and shared moments lingered in the air, making our visit to the Central Department Store even more memorable.
