Hello everyone

Today, bright and early at 6:15 a.m., I decided to treat my mother and grandchildren to another scenic adventure. This time, we headed to Chalong Pier to catch the sunrise. It was just a couple of days ago that we had marveled at the sunset at Karon Beach and Nai Thon Beach, so I was eager to continue our exploration of nature's beauty.

As we gathered ourselves in the morning, I noticed the kids weren't quite as enthusiastic about the early start as I was. But for me, there's something special about the quiet hours of the morning, especially when the roads are clear and driving feels effortless. True to form, we made it to Chalong Pier in a swift 20 minutes. The absence of traffic made the journey smooth and enjoyable. It's amazing how much quicker you can get around when there aren't cars clogging up the roads.

As I arrived at Chalong Pier around 6:45 AM, the sun was already climbing higher in the sky, casting a golden hue over everything it touched. The scene before me was one of bustling activity mixed with a sense of tranquility.

Numerous ships were anchored in the harbor, their masts reaching towards the heavens. The water shimmered in the morning light, reflecting the golden glow of the rising sun. Despite the hustle and bustle of the pier, there was an undeniable sense of peace that hung in the air.

Nearby, people jogged along the waterfront, their footsteps echoing softly against the wooden planks. Some were engaged in morning exercises, stretching and bending in synchronized movements. The pier was alive with the energy of those starting their day with vigor and determination.

Amidst it all, crew members bustled about, loading supplies onto the waiting ships. Their movements were efficient and purposeful, a testament to the daily routine of life at the pier.

As I stood there, taking in the sights and sounds around me, I couldn't help but be struck by the juxtaposition of activity and calm. It was a reminder of the beauty that exists in the everyday moments of life, where the ordinary can be transformed into something extraordinary.

After arriving at Chalong Pier, we spent around 30 minutes absorbing the mesmerizing spectacle of the sunrise and immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere surrounding us. However, our time there was brief, as the heat of the morning sun began to intensify. Despite the short duration, those precious moments were filled with awe and appreciation for the natural beauty unfolding before us. The golden rays of the rising sun painted the sky in breathtaking hues, casting a warm glow over the harbor and infusing the air with a sense of serenity.

As the temperature steadily rose, we reluctantly decided to bid farewell to the pier and its enchanting scenery. Though our time there was fleeting, the memories we gathered would linger in our hearts long after we departed. With a fond glance back at the sun-kissed horizon, we made our way back, grateful for the opportunity to witness such a magnificent sight.
