Watching the Annual Christmas Lights Show In Taichung

Every year a Christmas light show is held in every city in Taiwan with a variety of interesting concepts for the joy of Christmas and New Year.

In Taichung the annual Christmas light show is always held on the Liouchuan Riverside walk. The park is located right behind Taichung University, in the city center close to Taichung station and the Pyramid area. This light show is held from 11-27 December 2020. This location is very easy to reach either using a taxi or bus transportation within the city. If using the bus, you can get off at Bus Stop no 4 or at Taichung Station and walk ± 10 minutes next to the Piramid area (the location where many Southeast Asian people gather).

Last year I also visited this place the night before leaving for Indonesia. Twinkling lights and dancing water. The water ripple effect is visible on the river surface with laser projection showing Christmas images accompanied by the sound of Christmas music. This light show starts at 5:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm every day. There is a large Christmas tree about 10 meters high.

Fantastic light show, with a wide variety of themes and cheerful Christmas decorations. Many people flock to watch the light show and dancing water throughout the Liouchuan area, from the park location to the river area.
