Yesterday we visited the Hermitage! Emotions are running high - so many truly stunning works of art!

Such a rich decoration of the halls... and a real spirit of the eras. For a long time we could not find the Egyptian Hall - and we really wanted to. But finally we found it and we lost the time searching for it - to see with our own eyes works of art and household items of people who lived not just hundreds, but thousands of years ago... it was like taking a trip back in time. And there was a mummy - and how I felt sorry for the remains of this man who was so far away from his homeland ... lying like that in the showcase. I'm not a religious person who's not mystically inclined... but still.
And in general so many emotions and impressions, so many works of art we saw, which previously I have seen only in reproductions and photographs ... And my feet were falling off because it was impossible to walk around the Hermitage and enjoy the entire exposition in one day... Well, you need at least a week... But I'm glad to spend one day devoted to this magical place which absorbed not only works of art, but also time and memory of the past. The Hermitage exists outside of time and probably outside of space.
And after the museum we sat in a cozy and tasty cafe. Soulfully chatted, ate and drank tea with spices. This day will remain in my memory as a spiritual and colorful event!

I can imagine how excited you were, being fully immersed in its beauty and thinking of how all of these ever existed was truly amazing I guess.

Tanta historia reunida en un mismo lugar, debió ser impresionante estar tan cerca de todo ello.
