Muggensturm, die reizvolle Gemeinde zwischen den Städten Karlsruhe und Rastatt am Tor zum Schwarzwald, bietet nicht nur eine malerische Landschaft, sondern auch eine faszinierende historische Entwicklung. Als ich diesen idyllischen Ort kürzlich besuchte, konnte ich nicht anders, als mich von der Mischung aus alter und neuer Architektur, gepaart mit der Schönheit der Natur, verzaubern zu lassen.

Die Geschichte von Muggensturm reicht bis ins Mittelalter zurück. Die erste urkundliche Erwähnung stammt aus dem Jahr 1271. Zu dieser Zeit war Muggensturm von bäuerlichen Gemeinschaften geprägt.

Ein Bahnhof befindet sich ca. 500 m vom Wohnmobilstellplatz entfernt und ermöglicht es die umliegenden Städte schnell und entspannt zu erreichen.

The camper site at the bathing lake offers the ideal opportunity to explore the surrounding area on foot or by bike. A train station is located about 500 m from the RV park and allows you to reach the surrounding towns quickly and relaxed.

Der Wohnmobilstellplatz ...
The RV park ...

... ist ein kostenfreier Stellplatz für 5 Wohnmobile am Ortsrand neben einem Badesee (Kaltenbachsee), der ganzjährig genutzt werden kann. Der Platz ist geschottert und weitgehend eben. Als ich ankam, waren alle gekennzeichneten Stellplätze belegt. Viele Camper hatten es sich auf der angrenzenden Wiese bequem gemacht. Offenbar wird dies von der Gemeinde geduldet. Etwas störend ist der nahe Autobahn- und Bahnverkehr, vor allem nachts. Am Badesee gibt es auch die Möglichkeit, essen zu gehen. Die Entfernung zum Zentrum beträgt ca. 1,5 km zu Fuß. Eine Bahnhaltestelle ist ca. 500 m entfernt. Die Lage ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung des Nordschwarzwaldes oder der umliegenden Städte. Ausgeschilderte Rad- und Wanderwege sind vorhanden.

... is a free pitch for 5 motorhomes on the outskirts of the village next to a swimming lake (Kaltenbachsee), which can be used all year round. The site is graveled and largely flat. When I arrived, all marked pitches were occupied. Many campers had made themselves comfortable on the adjacent meadow. Apparently this is tolerated by the municipality. Somewhat disturbing is the nearby highway and rail traffic, especially at night. At the bathing lake there is also the possibility to go out for dinner. The distance to the center is about 1.5 km on foot. A train stop is about 500 m away. The location is a good starting point for exploring the Northern Black Forest or the surrounding cities. Signposted cycling and hiking trails are available.
