Nächste Woche Donnerstag geht es endlich los. Ursprünglich wollten wir nach Kroatien fahren. Aber die meist geschlossenen Campingplätze haben uns dazu gebracht, unsere Pläne zu ändern. Wo genau, wissen wir noch nicht. Wir werden uns kurzfristig entscheiden. Der Camper ist immer für Kurztrips ausgerüstet, so dass wir jederzeit ohne zu überlegen losfahren können. Letztes Wochenende habe ich begonnen, den Camper für eine längere Reise vorzubereiten. Als ich die Funktion der elektrischen Komponenten überprüfte, stellte ich fest, dass die Wasserversorgung nicht funktionierte. Bei näherer Betrachtung stellte sich heraus, dass die Wasserpumpe defekt war.

While testing the function of the electrical components, I noticed that the water supply was not working. After closer inspection, it turned out that the water pump was defective.

Bei einer weiteren Inspektion bemerkte ich einen Riss in einem der Seitenfenster. Da glücklicherweise nur die äußere Scheibe der Doppelverglasung einen Riss hat, besteht keine Gefahr, dass bei Regen Wasser in das Innere des Wohnmobils eindringt. Meine Rücksprache mit der Werkstatt ergab, dass die Reparatur des Wasserleitungssystems durch meine erweiterte Garantie abgedeckt ist. Jedoch nicht für das Seitenfenster.

During further inspection, I noticed a crack in one of the side windows. Fortunately, since only the outer pane of the double glazing is cracked, there is no risk of water entering the interior of the motorhome during rain. My consultation with the workshop revealed that the repair of the water pipe system is covered by my extended warranty. But not for the side window.

Obwohl ich die Wasserpumpe selbst hätte einbauen können, entschied ich mich, zu meinem Händler in Umkirch zu fahren. Der Einbau der Wasserpumpe war kein Problem. Allerdings hatte er keine Seitenscheibe vorrätig. Da der Einbau der Scheibe aber relativ einfach ist, haben wir beschlossen, dass er eine neue Seitenscheibe bestellt und sie mir zuschickt.

Um entspannt zum Termin um 8:00 Uhr zu kommen, beschloss ich, einen Tag früher anzureisen. Meine Liebste hat es geschafft und mich auf diesem Kurztrip begleitet. Ursprünglich wollten wir die Nacht in Umkirch auf einem Parkplatz in der Nähe des Vereinsgeländes verbringen. Leider war dieser aufgrund von Bauarbeiten nicht befahrbar, so dass wir auf den Wohnmobilstellplatz in Freiburg auswichen. Dort kamen wir am späten Nachmittag an und fuhren mit der Straßenbahn in die Stadt. Obwohl wir schon oft in Freiburg waren, entdeckten wir weitere schöne Ecken der Altstadt und aßen schließlich in einem tollen Restaurant "Blauer Fuchs" Lecker zu Abend.

Originally, we wanted to spend the night in Umkirch on a parking lot near the club grounds. Unfortunately, this was not passable because of construction work, so we switched to the RV park in Freiburg. We arrived there in the late afternoon and took the streetcar into the city. Although we were already often in Freiburg, we discovered more beautiful corners of the old town and finally ate dinner in a great restaurant "Blue Fox" tasty.

Der Wohnmobilstellplatz Freiburg 🚐⚽...

... ist ein ganzjährig nutzbarer, gebührenpflichtiger Wohnmobilstellplatz auf einem großzügig angelegten Parkplatz für ca. 100 Wohnmobile am Stadtrand gegenüber dem Messegelände und einem Kleinflugplatz. In der Nähe befinden sich das SC-Fußballstadion und Teile der Technischen Fakultät. ❗ Während der Heimspiele des FC-Freiburg ist der Platz geschlossen. Bitte vorher auf der Homepage des Betreibers über die Spielzeiten informieren. Der Platz ist asphaltiert und weitgehend eben. Eine Übernachtungssteuer der Stadt von 5%, Frischwasser bis 100l pro Tag, Grauwasserentsorgung und Entsorgung der Chemietoilette sind in der Platzgebühr enthalten. Für 83 Fahrzeuge stehen Stromanschlüsse bis 16 A zur Verfügung, 0,75 €/kWh. Die Gebühr ist im Servicebüro zu entrichten. Man sucht sich einen geeigneten Stellplatz, parkt dort und meldet sich im Servicebüro an. Freundliches Personal erklärt das Prozedere, Möglichkeiten in die Stadt zu kommen und gibt Informationen auch für eventuelle Reparaturen. Ein kleiner Stadtplan rundet das Serviceangebot ab. Die Entfernung zum Stadtzentrum beträgt ca. 3,5 km. Eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Mit der Straßenbahnlinie 4 ist man schnell in der Stadt. Mit der Linie 4 fährt man auch wieder zurück in Richtung Messe. Bei der Rückfahrt ist zu beachten, dass der Ausstieg ca. 200 m vom Stellplatz entfernt bei der Technischen Fakultät ist. Ausgewiesene Rad- und Wanderwege sind vorhanden. Der Platz ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt in den Hochschwarzwald. 😊
