RE: COMMUNITY INTRODUCTION: WELCOME TO MED-HIVE COMMUNITY

in MED-HIVE3 years ago (edited)

Non medical hivers are also encouraged to join the Community and Discord. We welcome posts meeting the requirement of the community from you too.

This is such a great initiative! The Hive Diabetes Peer Support (HDPS) Community is proud to associate ourselves with the medical profession here on the HIVE social blockchain, as represented by the new
Med Hive Community!

HDPS is an online peer-support group for anyone with Type or Type diabetes, or who cares for a relative, friend, or co-worker who has diabetes. Such support carers we affectionately honour as unofficial Type diabetics.

We are a community comprising of non-medical-professionals / patients, who have a specific interest in the treatment of diabetes. We offer support here on the HIVE social blockchain, and provide / curate relevant posts about treatments; alternative therapies; equipment; food; exercise; lifestyle; and comorbidities, as they relate to diabetes. We are always happy to hear from medical professionals with specialities and/or experience relevant to diabetes. To attract the attention of our curators to your posts which relate to diabetes, please also tag them with #diabetes and one of us will curate your post on behalf of HDPS.

Your post has been curated by @frittro of the Hive Diabetes Peer Support (HDPS) Community. We are a new HIVE Community and curation account created recently, and officially launched on 1-Apr-2022, here on the social blockchain and on Discord. Our goal is to become a place to discuss your own or a loved one's experience of diabetes, for shared mutual peer support and encouragement.

This is an excellent idea for support groups to also exist on the Hive Block chain. We salute this move and would join efforts to be a part of your vision as well as accomplishing ours.

Thanks so much for the support and drive.

We would also be sharing on diabetes to educate more readers about this disease.
