Greetings MED-Hive community!

Hello everyone... It's time to begin our 2nd health weekly discussions around the theme of the month, which this time is about RESPIRATORY HEALTH. If you wish to know more about the monthly contest and prizes at stake please go to this post 👇

MED-HIVE MAY THEME - RESPIRATORY HEALTH

Our respiratory system is an essential one. We cannot live without breathing. The little movements allow air in and out of our lungs. A simple, yet important one that is so essential to life itself. Unfortunately, as simple humans as we are we often take things for granted and breathing is just one more of those things. Easy to forget but not so easy if it starts to fail.

We are looking forward to reading all your posts about the subject at hand!

WHAT ARE LUNG DISEASE?

Lung diseases refer to a range of conditions that affect the lungs and respiratory system, causing difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing, wheezing, and other symptoms. Common lung diseases include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, pneumonia, and tuberculosis. Risk factors for lung diseases include smoking, exposure to air pollution, genetics, and occupational hazards. Treatment options vary depending on the specific condition and may include medication, oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and surgery. Early detection and management can improve outcomes and quality of life for individuals with lung diseases.

We invite all Medhivers to write helpful posts in creating awareness about lung diseases on the blockchain, share the knowledge and save lives.
