A compliment is a wonderful way to start your day, whether it's giving one or receiving one. The power of a simple compliment to someone can go a long way in lifting their spirits, making them feel appreciated, and giving them a sense of joy. They can also be a great opportunity to show someone that you care about them and are grateful for them. So, as you go about your day, take a moment to share a compliment with someone special. Who knows? It might just change your day for the better too!

This week on January 24th is National Compliment Day - a day to take a moment to recognize the wonderful people in our lives and give them a well-deserved compliment. We all need a pick-me-up now and then, so why not take this opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face and brighten their day? Spread a little cheer and offer a kind word of encouragement – it can go a long way!

Whether it’s telling your best friend how much you appreciate them or complimenting your colleague on a job well done, make sure to share your appreciation for those around you. It’s the perfect way to start the week off on the right foot.

So, how to give a compliment?

The first step to giving a great compliment is to be sincere. When you give someone a compliment, it should come from a genuine place. If you don’t mean it, it will be obvious to the other person and can make them feel uncomfortable.

The second step is to be specific. Instead of just saying, “you look nice today”, get more specific and say something like, “that new outfit looks amazing on you.

With these points in mind, let's get to today's Monday Mission!

This week’s social media challenge is to show someone special how much you appreciate them through Hive!

Tag one of your friends on Hive and take a moment to write up a heartfelt compliment that will make them smile. Let them know how much you admire them, how much their friendship has meant to you, and how much you appreciate them.

After all, the little things can often brighten someone's day and show that you care. So why not join in on the challenge and spread some joy and kindness on Hive?
