[ENG-SPN] A reminder of the ephemeral / Memento de lo efímero

Paradoxically, the sky remains the same, but the rest changes colour, fading irremediably at the mercy of time and destiny, which, unfortunately for us and also for the environment that surrounds us, never stop their path.

What yesterday offered relief and shelter to the exhausted pilgrim, today forms part of that ruin and that oblivion that is about to be exiled to the unknown limbo where those snows of yesteryear that caused so much frustration in the spirit of poets, like Villon, always end up.

Tempus fugit, the Roman poets said, for their part, knowing, compassionately, that with it our hopes also pass, our dreams fade and that metaphorical match goes out, the match of vanity consumed, which implies that inevitable race towards oblivion: our life.

Paradójicamente, el cielo continúa siendo el mismo, pero el resto va cambiando de color, apagándose irremediablemente a merced de un tiempo y de un destino, que, para nuestra desgracia y para desgracia, también, del entorno que nos rodea, nunca detienen su camino.

Lo que ayer ofrecía alivio y cobijaba al exhausto peregrino, hoy forma parte de esa ruina y de ese olvido que está a punto de exiliarse al limbo desconocido al que van a parar siempre esas nieves de antaño que tanta frustración causaran en el ánimo de poetas, como Villon.

Tempus fugit, decían, por su parte, los poetas romanos, sabiendo, conmiserativamente, que con él pasan, además, nuestras esperanzas, se desvanecen nuestros sueños y se apaga esa metafórica cerilla, consumido el fósforo de la vanidad, que implica esa inevitable carrera hacia el olvido: nuestra vida.
