What’s up, friends! Thank you all so much for the welcome back to Hive after a week and a half of unrest in Minneapolis. Over the last few years, I’ve mentioned that blogging here daily has become an important part of my routine. It’s more than just making a post and earning some crypto. It’s a big part of my psychological health. The last five years or so, I’ve been doing so much traveling at such an unsustainable pace, I’ve grown to resent aspects of my job as a professional photographer. One of those resentments is not having the time to site and do a nightly Hive post.
I’m going to try and fall back in to a routine by posting some photography work. This has been the first night in a while I’ve been able to just sit down and edit. I’m going back to a shoot I did in March in San Antonio, TX. This was my first time in Texas. Most of my time was spent in Austin, but Liv lived about an hour away and landed a gorgeous hotel in the historic downtown district of San Antonio. It was a great opportunity to surveil a new city, and in hindsight, I’m so glad I did. Who would have known that a pandemic and riots in the streets were just a few weeks away.
Liv is a burlesque performer, titled, “The Hexan Texan”. As such, she knows her body and how to really create drama in her modeling. She also had an outstanding selection of wardrobe for us to shoot in. Huge, colorful and elaborate costumes, feathers, boas and lingerie. We began shooting just as the sun was setting in San Antonio, and the lighting was breathtaking. One of those shoots where everything comes together. Liv’s presence in front of the camera was commanding. She looked great, and I had to do very little to create such beautiful photos.
So, with this, I’m hoping to get back to a regular schedule of posting new photography, illustration and thoughts. Like everyone, I’m trying to keep it all together. My life doesn’t even seem recognizable from the life I was living when these photos were taken. I just finished some heavy illustration work for @eos.detroit and I’m going to take a few days to recover from that. I’m hoping to catch up with @lovejoy tomorrow to shoot some drone VLOG content far away from the city, where we can talk and walk for however long three batteries will take us.
I love these classic Pictures, they are sexy and beautiful👍
Truth is irrespective of you not having that night time to post, somehow I think you manage it up wisely because being here sometimes is something we can't do without. The shots are stunning she's got wonderful pose.
I haven't heard of a burlesque performer I didn't know there was something like that pinup shooting?
Life of a Professional photographer can be tediously funny at times, especially when you have a client that knows little about the whole process, thereby handing you more work to do.
Liv just like you said is really captivating in her poses and sure, that's gonna make your shooting easier.
I just arrived Hive yesterday after staying away from steemit for long. I love photography too and I'm excited to see you are really passionate about it.
I am actually not a professional, but I love taking pictures of myself. I will have to keep a tab on your blogs so I can enjoy your professionalism.
Posting daily here gives a sense of routine and balance, which is greatly needed in these times. Lovely photos!
She is like a mannequin! Where are you going to post the video?

Awesome job! This does look like it was a pretty cool shoot to do. Lot's of stuff involved in creating the composition!
