In recent years, it has often not been so clear, but winter also means snow. And usually quite a lot of snow, as you are reminded time and again, especially in our region. Although this winter was probably too mild in retrospect, at least for one week we felt the cold power of this season.
It snowed for four days straight and everything around us suddenly turned white. And at the beginning, the snow remained and didn't melt away again straight away. So for a few days, we were able to have fun with the white splendor, and especially the little ones among us loved it.
But I also had fun and enjoyed having proper snow in front of the house again. Of course it was a bit of work, but in the end the fun factor clearly outweighed all the work that 50 centimetres of snow can entail.
And that was also the reason why there was suddenly this cute snow cat greeting us. Actually, I just wanted to build a normal snowman, but in the end I found a cat standing in front of me. Unexpected is usually best, and especially when it's fun, you should let yourself go. Of course, I immediately returned the broad smile that our snow cat gave me and kept it on my face for a long time.
And even now, as I write these lines, this smile is showing again and I can clearly feel that I have done a lot of things right this winter. And the next time it snows, I will of course do it all again, because I know exactly how I get my extra portion of enjoyment. It's really easy and I can only recommend giving it a try....
DEUTSCH
In den letzten Jahren ist es zwar oft nicht so deutlich gewesen, aber Winter heißt auch Schnee. Und meist sogar recht viel Schnee, was man insbesondere in unserer Region immer wieder vor Augen gehalten bekommt. Obwohl dieser Winter im Rückblick wohl auch wieder zu mild gewesen war, hattem wir doch zumindest eine Woche lang die kalte Macht dieser Jahreszeit zu spüren bekommen.
Vier Tage lang hatte es richtig geschneit und alles um uns herum wurde auf einmal weiß. Und der Schnee blieb zum Anfang auch liegen und schmolz uns nicht gleich wieder weg, Und so konnten wir uns ein paar Tage mit der weißen Pracht amüsieren, was insbesondere die Kleinen unter uns ganz toll fanden.
Aber auch ich hatte meinen Spaß und genoß es, mal wieder so richtig Schnee vor dem Haus zu haben. Klar war das auch ein wenig Arbeit, aber letztendlich überwog der Fun-Faktor ganz deutlich all die Arbeit, die rund 50 Zentimeter Schnee mit sich bringen können.
Und das war dann auch der Grund, dass uns auf einmal diese fesche Schneekatze gegrüßt hatte. Eigentlich wollte ich nur einen ganz normalen Schneemann bauen, auf plötzlich stand auf einmal eine Katze vor mir. Unverhofft kommt meist doch am besten, und gerade wenn es Spaß macht, sollte man sich auch einmal gehen lassen. Denn das breite Grinsen, welches mir unsere Schneekatze entgegen hielt, habe ich natürlich sogleich erwidert und noch lange in meine Gesicht behalten.
Und auch jetzt, beim Schreiben dieser Zeilen zeigt es sich wieder und ich spüre ganz deutlich, dass ich auch diesen Winter wieder ein ganze Menge richtig gemacht habe. Und wenn es das nächste Mal schneien wird, werde ich das Ganze natürlich wiederholen, denn ich weiß ja, wie ich zu meiner Extraportion Spaß komme. Es ist ganz einfach und ich kann nur empfehlen, es auch einmal zu versuchen....
