Thank YOU, Sam, for your fascinating and informative posts, especially on the wonders of electricity.
Oh I love this - you are so insightful and resourceful!
guess which part of the body is connected to the ear lobe where piercings happen
From now on, I hope your intuition and suggestions will get more cred, more respect. :)
"Mama knows best," they say, but so does Dad!
And while I'm here, I'm trying to recall if I already pestered you with comments on the electrical research of Bose...
Jagadish Chandra Bose: The Indian Scientist who deserved two Nobel Prizes– one for his research on radio waves and the other for his semiconductor research.
And this: https://www.ebdir.net/enlighten/bose_yogananda.html
"In the pursuit of my investigations I was unconsciously led into the border region of physics and physiology. To my amazement, I found boundary lines vanishing, and points of contact emerging, between the realms of the living and the non-living. Inorganic matter was perceived as anything but inert; it was athrill under the action of multitudinous forces.
"A universal reaction seemed to bring metal, plant and animal under a common law. They all exhibited essentially the same phenomena of fatigue and depression, with possibilities of recovery and of exaltation, as well as the permanent irresponsiveness associated with death. Filled with awe at this stupendous generalization, it was with great hope that I announced my results before the Royal Society—results demonstrated by experiments. But the physiologists present advised me to confine myself to physical investigations, in which my success had been assured, rather than encroach on their preserves. I had unwittingly strayed into the domain of an unfamiliar caste system and so offended its etiquette.
I'm so annoying, I persist in telling electrical engineers about Bose.
As if I can even summarize his findings. I go to my online search history instead of training my memory....
Sadly, I've yet to find an electrical engineer who heard of Jagadish Chandra Bose.
Marconi, of course, but the original inventor from India is all but forgotten.
You remind me of him, Sam, with all your experiments and findings. :)
