RE: Pharmacy At My Door

I am so inspired. Those flowers are so pretty. I think I really need to learn more about the plants here in Canada. Everyone has lost the knowledge of herbal medicine and wild food. Most of us only know about the store shelves.

That's awesome that you have something to help your daughter's father. I didn't know that spicy food could do so much damage, I have never had a problem and I just love it so much. Good to know before I increase the level of heat in my food.

We love to eat moderately spicy but my daughter's father eats SUPER spicy, and often after Lao-Khao (rice whiskey) on an empty stomach. He's had a gastric ulcer for many years, since he was a monk. It burst and he nearly bled to death on the way to hospital in Sukothai. The stomach acid loose in the abdominal cavity burnt the bottom part of his left lung. He's more careful now. Eats more moderately. A nice tasting tea would be good for him to drink regularly. His new wife won't like me fussing but she'll have to get over it. She calls me "Jey" - elder sister. LOL.

Yes, agreed we ALL need to learn about the plants and "weeds" we step over every day. So much fuss over dandelions... LOL.

The next most amazing thing after medicinal plants is the human body's ability to keep going. On the one hand our systems are incredibly delicate and breakable yet we come through all sorts of abuse to our systems and live on. How blessed we truly are!
