We Are All Interconnected

These days I am ashamed of how many human beings are acting towards differences. Living in a society that values having external power creates more separation among the HUMAN RACE. We are all the same race, but our cultural backgrounds are different. If we lived in a society that was more driven by compassion and inner power, maybe everyone would embrace each other's differences instead of living in a world filled with prejudice. No one is perfect, and no one should be defined solely on their cultural background, skin tone, sexual orientation, belief system, etc. To be clear, I am not undermining what many cultures or categorized groups endure due to this power-stricken society. But it is time to bring on a community where values are love and compassion for one another, for the sake of world peace.

I feel like everyone should have the right to be who they are and let go of their ego-based insecurities. We do not need to have power over one another, and we need to learn from each other's differences. How do we do that? We do that by removing our one pair of lenses given when we were younger and try on a different pair with an open mind. We look at kids interacting with each other, and they don't care about the color of another kid's skin, that is, until their parents comment on the "differences" or "prejudice." We can learn from each other's way to live, our approach to health, our foods, and our take on spirituality. Thus, learning from each other will also allow us to grow together as a human race. My take is that when we remove our vessel, we are all part of one energy system.
I think that living our life using the same lenses undermines our intelligence and inhibits us from reaching our full potential. We need to acknowledge our weaknesses and strengths as individual human beings. Our culture is our foundation, but it isn't who we are in the world. We are more than our belief system and cultural background, and we are all part of something bigger than that. To participate in this bigger picture, we need to be open to change, and most importantly, we need to release our insecurities and our need to be better than others. We were all born to shine our light in different ways. For example, when we look at siblings, they have the same foundation, the same colored skin, but they are entirely different from one another. You can compare them, but they just aren't the same. That should be the case for everyone, especially when it comes to strangers. Why is it okay to view people who share the same DNA as entirely different, but people who only have similar cultural backgrounds are categorized into one group?

In the end, we all have choices to make if we want world peace and to stop harming humanity. We have a choice to go beyond our history, beyond what categorizes us and focus on what makes us unique and empower it. We are not our parents, and we are not our culture, we are all born to share our gifts and light to the world in our way. We are stronger than etiquettes, categories, and prejudices. Let us remove our energy from focusing on the perpetrators who are stuck in their insecurities and focus on building each other up and growing together by respecting and accepting our differences. If everyone felt confident to shine their light without being scared, the world would focus on love instead of hatred and prejudice. Today let's choose to focus on opening our eyes and minds instead of focusing on other people's differences.

It takes courage to look within ourselves to identify our prejudice and insecurities, but we can do it. Once when we focus on accepting ourselves for who we are, we will realize that no one is perfect and the only way to shine is by being ourselves, acknowledging the good and the bad. It's only by recognizing the good that you can shine the good, and it is only by acknowledging the bad that you can change your ways.

We don't have control over others, but we have control over ourselves. Let's change the world one day at a time by allowing ourselves to shine all the while individually remaining respectful and accepting of our fellow brothers and sisters.
