Very cool that such a simple natural concoction can work nearly as well as a chemical-based pharmaceutical product. I wonder what role the arrowroot plays? I assume just as a thickener, but curious...

Ah, I read about this back when I was looking for a good recipe! Kinda forgot though, but googling this, it says:

Magnesium and arrowroot powders absorb moisture and keep odors to a minimum without the use of harsh baking soda which can often cause a rash for sensitive skin.

So I guess its job is kind of the same as the baking soda, but it's less agressive to the skin. So for sensitive skin, we should be able to use a bit more arrowroot powder and a little less baking soda!
