This plant cannot be consumed by people who have kidney stones because of its oxalate content, that's what I found out when I investigated a little more about Purslane.
I am really amazed by the many properties it has, and one of them that caught my attention even more is regenerative and anti-aging, I thought "Good heavens I found the fountain of youth".
My encounter with Purslane arose one day on the recommendation of my mother when she saw me suffering from constipation, she had already taken it for the problems I had been having with my colon.
That was about 3 years ago and I can say for sure that it is effective, I only had the information that my mother had given me, which is to cleanse the colon and for the problem that afflicted me at that time.
It can be consumed raw or cooked in salads and stews. Wash the plant well, put it to boil a little water, once it boils, turn it off and put the Purslane inside the pot and cover it for 5 minutes, then take it out, chop it and add it to our salad.
Eating regularly will help you keep your colon clean of anything that can affect it and inflame it. Since I used it I have not suffered from constipation and my mother no longer suffers from colon problems..

I think we have this plant also here in Suriname, but I didn't know it was medicinal nor edible. Thanks for teaching me something new.
