I have been thinking, lately, of making something original with chickpeas and I'd never thought of a sweet dish. For a change, I have dried chickpeas in my kitchen but I usually buy them canned. I used to throw out the brine and rinse the chickpeas, as I felt the additives bloated my stomach. Now I wonder if there were any additives. Isn't there always salt in there too? Does that matter for the meringue recipe?
Anyhow, I learnt a lot from this post and I can't wait to try out this recipe. Would like to replace the sugar though by something natural ( I saw you mention coconut sugar ) as my body seems to repel sugar the last couple of years.
I will keep an eye on your posts from now on. Love how much I'm learning from people like you.
