A really, really interesting post! I hadn't heard anything about tapeworms really so it was fascinating for me, and makes perfect sense. We rinse all our veggies in vinegar, even the ones that come into our garden, because of the chickens, but to be honest my thinking behind it is a little vague ie. 'gets rid of shit on my veggies'. Great research and I'm sure very useful for people in Asia - especially about ordering salad in the rainy season - that would DEFINITELY not occur to me!
