Hello baking friends ☺️ I want to share with you this very particular recipe on how to make some white corn flour cookies🤭 yes corn flour, you may be wondering if they can actually turn out well but the truth is that I have tried it and it turns out super good and powdery, this recipe is 100% homemade and I am sharing it with you so that you can make these cookies if they need wheat flour, it is almost the same flavor as cookies with wheat flour only the corn flour ones are a little heavy but for that we will use the key ingredient which is cornstarch so that they are lighter and with a powdery texture, so come on let's prepare these cookies 🤤🍪.

- Harina de maíz blanco 200 gr
- Fécula de maiz 100 gr
- Azúcar 100 gr
- Margarina 100gr
- 1 huevo
- Esencia de vainilla una cucharada
- Pisca de sal
- Chispas de chocolate
- White corn flour 200 gr
- Corn starch 100 gr
- Sugar 100 gr
- Margarine 100gr
- 1 egg
- Vanilla essence 1 tablespoon
- Pinch of salt
- Chocolate chips

To start preparing our dough, we will add our corn flour to a cup and make a small hole in the center of it. Then we will add the cornstarch and stir this to integrate both flours.

We continue adding the following ingredients to our flours, such as the teaspoon of salt and the egg. Remember to make a hole again before adding the egg.

I went on to add the sugar around where I put the egg, as well as the butter in the center of my ingredients, forming a volcano, as well as the vanilla. Then I kneaded for 10 minutes until the dough did not stick to my hands and I began to practice making mini arepitas or balls with it. If the dough does not crack, it means that it is ready to form our cookies.

I proceeded to oil and flour my tray with oil and a little bit of the same flour, I formed my cookies and on top I sprinkled lots of chocolate chips as I like, I went on to bake each batch of cookies for 10 minutes at 180°.

Hello, corn flour is what is used to make tortillas and corn starch is used to make atole. Both are different. Corn starch gives texture to polvososas cookies.
