Hello, friends especially foodies!

Last Saturday, there was an occasion in the church so before it began, my friend and i wanted to have our early dinner together. After considering where would we have our early dinner, then we decided to have our early dinner in a local brand of Japanese restaurant.

ICHIBAN SUSHI

Named theirself as ICHIBAN SUSHI which means number one sushi, this restaurant of course sold sushi as one of their course.

Ichiban had new sushi menu which they put on the banner outside the restaurant, their new menus only costed 15K IDR or almost a USD and for it they had the choices of crab crunchy roll, beef teriyaki suki, dynamite roll, osaka roll, kaisen roll, beef bomb, dory bon roll, tamago crispy mayo, chicken sushi ball, kani bon roll, tamago crispy tartar and tamago sushi ball.

DINING AREA

The interior of this restaurant dominated with wood. It had soft wood natural color. It had japanese style dining area with yellow dimmed light.

Eventhough it was around 5 pm, the customers there were many, and they came there before us. You could take a conclusion that this restaurant is a popular restaurant here.

MENU

The menu book they had was thick so i am so sorry for not taking pictures of all pages of it.

First for the appetizer, they had their fried/steamed gyoza, tori karaage, kani cheese tempura, grilled salmon head, tempura moriawase, crispy crab stick, ebi tempura, namazu kabayaki, wakame salad, sesame salad and also salmon salad.

For the sushi roll they had dragon roll, two kind of platters, and some other kind of rolls like beef teriyaki fried roll, salmon cheese roll, and so on.

They also had sashimi..

Sushi and gunkan,

kind of Ramen,

donburi (rice bowl),

two kind of teppanyaki and six kind of bento.

For the beverages, they had kind of tea, mojito, yakult drinks, and some other kind of drinks included ocha.

THE FOOD & BEVERAGE

After had ordered, we needed waited around 10 minutes to get our drinks delivered and then we needed to wait for another 5 minutes to get the miso soup, then there was a couple minutes of waiting, after that the donburi, bento and sushi roll came one by one. Here were what we had that day...

THE TASTE & FLAVOUR

Now let me tell you how they tasted

First, I would like to start from my beverage, SUNRISE MOJITO

In their menu book, it showed that it was completed with strawberry sliced but it was not like that in the reality, i have to satisfy with what they served me, mixed fruit they said juice, mint leaves and kind of strawberry jam in the bottom. It tasted fresh and chilled with the sweet and sour flavour, but still i missed the strawberry they put in their menu book and also they only served lemon slice instead of strawberry on their glass neck, what a mess, i miss strawberry much. But i thought the taste of this drink was not a mess, it tasted so good in a hot day.

Now let me tell you about their food

While my friend chose Beef Teriyaki Donburi,
I chose BEEF TERIYAKI BENTO instead. We had same main thing in the menu, beef teriyaki.

Mine consisted of Beef Teriyaki which tasted sweet and savory. The beef was tender and soft, even the slices were quite large. Oishii!

It also consisted of the fried sweet potato which was unfortunately a bit hard to bite because it wasn't cook right away after we ordered but they stand by it in their kitchen instead; salad which had peanut mayonnaise dressing and of course gohan (rice).

But overall my score for the bento was 8 in 10 scale which means it really worth to try.

And i upgraded my bento with their miso soup which was really tasty cause it had miso thick flavour. Inside it had seaweed, tofu and chinese leak.

For the bento, and also miso soup, you should try them!

The second, DYNAMITE ROLL

It was crab stick with fried and cucumber in the roll, with spicy mayonnaise and chili on the top. For us it wasn't spicy at all so that we added the chili powder and wasabi to their soy sauce. And the dynamite roll was also oishii and worth to try, beside it was only 15K IDR or not even a USD (exclude the service charge and tax).

Of course I would come back to ICHIBAN SUSHI again, and next might be trying their large sushi haha..
