Great concept, I usually left the jars in a 45 degree angle with the top towards the bottom so that excess water went down but this required a receptacle for the water to land on, which means extra space. I think your method has a clear advantage in that sense so I'll probably be changing over, thanks for sharing :)

I really like the idea of the 45 degree method that you mention. This week I hope to make some sort of holder for the jars to be at that angle and see how it goes. I don't have a ton of space in the kitchen but it is worth it to dedicate space to growing food.
