Welcome to generosesity blogs ep. 18!

Good day hivers! How is your day? I hope you are doing well and I cannot wait to share with you this famous food in Cebu. Do you want to know why it is so famous here in our place? Well, I'll tell you right now!

Last week, it was a rainy week in our place. I and my boyfriend decided to eat some tuslob buwa. The word tuslob means to dip and buwa means bubbles in English term. The main ingredient of this food is a pig's brain. Yes, you read it right a pig's brain. It is available in any of the local markets here in Cebu. However, the nerves of the brain must be removed first before serving it. In short, the process of cleaning will take a while.

It is available in some local restaurants here in Cebu. Some of them offer unlimited tuslob buwa. This means that you only need to pay the poso and the buwa is unlimited, or get as much as you want. I'm just gonna give you a sneak peek of information about poso. Poso, is just basically rice. But, what makes it very unique is that it is wrapped in a coconut palm leaf or what we called as lukay. So, it is just very easy to eat the poso. I don't know why but it is very yummy paired with tuslob buwa.

The buwa is cooked in a heated pan with onions, soy sauce, and special sauce (you can add some chili or pepper if you want to). It is mixed together and you wait for it to form like bubbles. Then, it is ready! That is the time the poso is dipped into the cooked buwa. I can't fully describe the taste but it is really delicious and it will make you eat plenty of poso. I can still remember when we are still in face-to-face classes I always crave this food because it is one of my stress reliever foods.

I can't tell you where is the exact place here in Cebu where tuslob buwa originated. But, the most famous place known for its tuslob buwa is Pasil, Cebu City.

There are still plenty of foods available in local restaurants and street foods. When you visit here in Cebu, make sure you will not miss this Tuslob Buwa. That is all for today my fellow hivers! See you on my next food blog!
