There's lots of grass fed, grass finished (the most important) beef in this area, probably close to you out there. It was, of course, what we raised while my husband was alive. He swore he'd never had better beef and he loved his beef.

I love beef too, but it just does not seem to have that flavor I remember. I may purchase from a farmer that does grass-fed and finished this next year. I bet you had the best beef in the county. ;-)
Perhaps the state, as we were doing New Zealand Devon beef....
