Sorry, but your preference in altered texture and taste is just a subjective opinion. Pizza as we know it wouldn't be possible without tomatoes, which are also a new-world crop not even remotely indigenous to Italy, and thus no more authentic than pineapple. And innovation is no more proof something is wrong than tradition proves something right. Your arguments are all flawed, and I reject your claim to objective proof.
